EU+US Pacifier vs. Emil's Brand

Okay so everyone's obsessed with farming https://www.wowhead.com/item=6327/the-pacifier but isn't https://www.wowhead.com/item=5813/emils-brand pretty much the same or even better since it offers more strength? Is it purely because of Epic quality aesthetic?

Because you have to get lucky and get Emils to upgrade all the way to epic. Pacifier you have endless tries.

True, but isnt an epic Emil's ilvl31 with basically the same stats as a GF'd ilvl32 Emil's?

This is f2p section so epic brand would be ilvl 32 and identical to the old green.

I figured it worked like Argus rings, where even epic upgrades dont modify the stats as the reward is already ilvl32

Argas rings are also ilvl 20 if not upgraded.
