Overpopulation-The most important graph in the world

I think you have a range of options to deal with this. Correct me if I'm wrong but if memory serves, you fall into a "black pilled nationalist" box more or less, yes? So you look at this as a kind of threat to a unified Western/Christian culture AND that cultures survival due to dwindling resources of a dying planet?

So what if we looked at it a different way? What if we saw ourselves as a part of that refugee swarm. I dunno about you but I live in the southern US so I'm eventually gonna need to head north too. So I've got the same general concerns in regards to the place I live generally becoming uninhabitable

So instead of looking at refugees from other countries as people coming to steal my resources, I understood my place with them? We're ALL going to suffer from limited resources because most of those resources are being hoarded by a select few families.

What if designed society around the acknowledgement that in fifty years, we're gonna have more people trying to live in less space and on less farmable land? Would we still let 6 families hold 50% of the worlds wealth?

What I'm saying is, the future is socialism or barbarism. You're worried about surviving that barbarism but like... what if we just avoided that?

Tbh one more thing.

I forgot to say that i find christian culture to be repulsive. With its turn the other cheek thing child like approach to real life. Also lets talk about the globalist/protestant variant( like wtf your bible changes every 10 years+trans priests lol). Then i find evangelicals with their whole wanting or hastening to bring the rapture and apocalypse (death to the world basically) to be nutcases but thats beside the point

Christianity was beneficial for europe back then to rally different countries against ottoman incursions but now it has outlived its usefulness and cant do the job anymore. Whats the point of a belief system if it doesn’t even promise you powered up weapons or success in war/more power? I dont think any knight or crusader would have have bothered with Christianity if blessings of the arms weren’t a part of the faith

I mean its a middle eastern religion not a european one in the first place

Im not saying one should become an atheist or that odinist pagan/paganist larper cuz thats useless as well.

I just think that Judaism and Islam have ALOT more realistic approaches to the real world and the human nature. Islam with the Taqiya thing which is a brilliant concept. Judaism is also very pragmatic about not just lying but outright phyiscally removing other tribes (the old testament is full of it, and infact praises it lol). Islam does have de facto anti-intellectualism and anti-nationalism though...

so there is that

European countries used Ottoman's power against Habsburg and Spain for political benefits between 15th and 16th centuries. Crusaders and the strong Pope were about 300 years ago. There was Seljuk Empire in this period. (Not Ottomans)

Things have changed after 15th century. The Pope and Catholic Church started to loose power. Ottoman Empire became a big actor in Europe politics. France and Ottomans were the biggest alliance against the Pope and Habsburgs.

Religion was used as a political tool everywhere. Was this enough for keeping people united? Sharing wealth, sharing same culture, sharing life...We can add more.
But the real question is Who're we? What makes us 'us'? Others and us...

Liever Turksch dan Paus (Rather Turkish than Pope) Calvinism/Holland 1570

Well the dutch were desperate and looked for any ally they could find

And france? Tbh France has always been the clown of the western world always pozz'd to the max.

And your sentence sharing same culture sharing life...we can add more sounds eeire. So in your mind infinity more migrants to europe is a good idea after all.

I know im jumping here and switched from africa to south asia(not 100% sure how climate change will affect africa perhaps 1-2 celsius will actually make more farmland available but 4+celsius will make it living hell)

Here i added some more graphs. Btw you can google yourself but by 2030 40% of india's population will lose access to drinking water(btw thats over 500 million). By 2040 it will completely run out of drinking water.

Ofc its all too early to predict but we will see what will happens

Before saying anything, Israel have been researching ways of producing vegetables in very harsh conditions (some similar to the Moon's atmosphere)

I take that as an example that Overpopulation will not be the Earth's demise, since humans are more than perfectly capable of developing techniques to increase the effiency of natural resources.

So, will Science and mankind do it? I doubt, since many of the problems the poorer populations suffer don't economically matter.

For instance, I once saw a documentary on the lightining-fast delivery of flowers from Latin America countries to New York just in time for Valentine's day. It was all pretty state-of-the-art expensive stuff - but we still have problems delivering food production to places where it is needed.

Aye, over population isnt the problem. The distribution of resources is.

But they are relative to the other. So either or both can be a problem in some situations...

It's all well and good to say there's enough food and clean water for 10x the population... But how do you balance that with markets, logistics, value and triage? It's a complex and dynamic problem.

I wanted to give examples about this reality. I've never tried to point good or bad. I want to say the Earth is like a big fish tank. If any disaster happens all fishes are in danger. There's no safe place. Walls can't stop this madness. Big international companies are destroying people's lifes for benefits. They're using religion, nationalism and other political tools. This is not all about Europe. This is about us. The people... We don't have to advocate those assholes stupid politics. I just want to live in peace.

//Climate changes: We can talk this in another topic. You've good points there.

Supply and demand - people pay a premium for flowers at that time of the year. Businesses seize the opportunity and will push the production and logistics involved to it's limit as long as there is profit afterwards.

I understand it but I defend some things are more important than profit - or, at least, there is a need to make those things more economically viable.

...like the Carbon Credit stuff to keep it simple.

Sure, but unfortunately profit is king. I don't like it, I don't think it's working as intended, or at least as well as it could.
The disparity of wealth & the power of the top 1% is incomprehensibly greater than you can fathom.

Just... make sure you vote. It's the voice we all have that can make a difference. (apologies if you're reading for a corrupt government that allows international or internal interference)

If only there was a solution to this problem...

...comrade

I'm not citing you for doing this specifically, but as soon as socialism is suggested it immediately turns to communism. There are ways of introducing socialist practices that benefit your whole community without resorting to all out Союз Советских Социалистических Республик.

Yes

I'm being short and pithy here because I'm at work and using my phone. I've got... thoughts... about ecological disaster and capitalism and how socialism (or at least socialist programs and tendencies) can help combat and confront those.

I want to do your question and the subject the credit it deserves so I'll write out something more substantial this evening

Socialism isn't the answer to the corrupt Capitalism we have today. Our monetary system is designed to siphon wealth from the bottom to the top. This is what a debt based monetary system creates.

Watch this video if you want to know the ugly truth about our monetary system,
it's old but more relevant than ever.

well walls can very much stop ALOT of things. Sort of.

And some places like the Nordics and Siberia could also theoretically become Tropical Hyperborea(but right now thats meme tier fantasies) so not everyone would be affected.

With that said its every man for himself out there. Survival of the fittest as it always has been for thousands of years. Not lets hold hands together singing kumbaya yay human rights

But i completely agree with the whole peace thing though ..europeans and others need to stay the fuck out of middle east/africa/ other places and have no business there as its not their domain but rather the natives only

But imho infinitely reproducing Mena/SSA/SA countries shouldnt export their problems everywhere else and send their excess spare population to europe

Overpopulation isnt the issue at all, distribution of resources and stealing those resources and development away from places is. Class is the number one enemy to survival and the reason it exists is profit, profit is the exercise of screwing as many people as you can for personal benefit. Remove profit and work towards equal distribution and the problem will work to solve itself.

After that work to solve other issues of inequality to whatever extreme is needed over a time frame, there are some places that already work relatively close to this ideal. Minus the fact that the overall system is working to dismantle them in their entirety.

Lol bro

Adding 4+ billion people just like that ...not gonna be an issue

my sides

If you dont believe me(btw bill gates follows this 75+ yo realist boomer) here i added the interview by him apparently he literally shaped how the world(or whatever according to the article)

https://www.theguardian.com/books/2019/sep/21/vaclav-smil-interview-growth-must-end-economists
https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2019/09/vaclav-smil-on-the-need-to-abandon-growth.html

All i got from his interviews deciphering crypto scientist bullshit speak is that 4+ billion extra people is going to be too much to fucking handle. And they will want to live like the 1st world when we all instead need to conserve ,etc and go back to living like in the 1960s but nobody is obviously going to do that because muh economic growth(which is 100% based and redpilled because economic growth>all)

I mean coal and gas is here to stay for a whiiiiiile and imho there are 2 paths..either science progresses(likely not true imho) or science stagnates i mean take a look we havent really got any new technology since the 70s really ..ok faster computers and phones every year and thats it literally.

OH and apparently he hates SUVs

i just put it in layman terms + this is all literally what i said in my previous posts
