Organized PuGs!

So i just recently started to que in this bracket. The PuG scene was filled with mostly one-sided matches and horrible comps. I asked around and that seems to be the norm. Maybe getting 1-2 good games a night out of the 5-6 bad ones or more. However, everyone that que's knows each other and maybe a few ppl will try to log over to make the next game more even. Why don't we just implement some sort of grouping, like OQ or a skype group where we can see everyone who is queing and on what, that way before the first or second bad game we can just adjust it. This'll take 10 extra mins, but its better than spending 10 mins being contained or running around with 5 healers / 5 rogues. I'm fairly certain, if need be, ppl wouldn't mind sitting out a game or changing classes / roles to change that 5 healer team to something more suitable.Whats the point of queing if the majority of the games are brainless and tons of ppl afk from them.

This thread is to develope this idea, show your support, ask your questions and lets get something rolling.

Don't think that makes any sense, at least to me. How I imagine this going down is at the time you would normally solo que or whatever, you will list what char you'll be playing on in some public 19 chat ( like a skype group). We will probably end up with around 15-17 players or more depending on a night. There won't be leaders or biases, this will compile a list of who's queing and that way we can see which side is lacking what or what it has excessive classes / roles of. Not much effort needed or any drama.

You cant /who people from different servers. This is a good idea. Would help with faction balance allot.

theres literally 2 servers u have to worry about

just open another wow while in queue and do /who19 can even be on a lvl 1 trial account use ur brain

There are more twinks then just those 2 servers. They may be the majority but far from all. Why are you so negative man? This could be a good tool for our bracket and all your doing is being a dick. Go play on some train tracks or something.

problem is, if it's constantly 5+5 v 5+5 no newcomers / randomers will get in, interest in the bracket will decrease and so will activity.

Hit the nail on the head, always group queuing will decrease activity.

If everyone that group qued limited each of their groups to 3 members max, it would allow for randoms to still get in while keeping friends playing with friends. Something like this would have to be self-regulating, however, so the idea probably wouldn't fly. Just throwing it against the wall & seeing what sticks.

I'd have to disagree. Last night for example This Sunday Night way queuing a 10 man. The game they played was against a SR group and pugs. It was a competitive game and it did not decrease activity because there were two games going on. Yes, if there is only one "group/5 man queuing" then it can lead to one sided games but this should make people want to form groups and get into Skype/vent with one another. Example: again last night HB had a group queuing and so did Tura. Games were fun and competitive (when both horde and alliance got into the same game). It is fairly difficult to get a 10 man 'premade' into a wsg. If more people queued in groups (doesn't have to me a 5 man) and got into skype it would not only boost the skill level of the game but help you as a player grow.

I understand this may seem unfair for the random players/new players but part of twinking is being bis and groups/communication create better gameplay. There will always be room for non-grouped people regardless if people are group queuing.

As far as recently, these scheduled group ques weren't happening. Something to that effect would be perfect for creating more balanced games throughout the night. However, outside of last night the games have been more onesided than actually fun and engaging. If we can get more ppl to group que with a legitimate comp and communication that is obviously the ultimate goal. This PuG que idea was because it seemed many ppl only qued with maybe 1-3 ppl with them, and the comps for many games were making the games incredibly boring. Even if we que 5 mans there should be consideration to the other groups comp, so you don't have 4 healers+ 2 Gdruids or such. I wanted to create a lackadaisical way we could que every night without syncing groups and such tho

What does pug mean?
