Hello, Youb here GM of <orc> Alliance (Arugal Oceanic)

A few members of our guild will be transferring to a US server for pops. We believe Whitemane is a good choice, as it's a large server with already a small 39 alliance community there and the ping is not as bad as some other servers we've tested. We hope to build on their community, with regular pugs, duels, wPvP and if numbers work out we hope to start premading.

At the moment Oceanic pops are little to none, not even a consistent few pops during the evenings after most people get home from work. Believe me when I say we have waited our due time to see if this will change. I believe it activity will have a short rise with the introduction of AB, but this will flatten out again and is sadly not a stable twinking environment.

It's sad to leave Oceanic, but admittedly, the pops are too few and far between. Looking for a fresh start. The ms is only just noticeable, but very playable. We'll move within the week

Highly advice against whitemane things overpriced there. And it has queue times ( for logging into game) sometimes.

I've made the move to whitemane. Had a few games last night. 3 wsg battles were up at around midnight. Lag was only just noticeable. I'll get used to it in no time.

Yeah I played yesterday with 250 ms and didn't enjoy it personally. I think you should stick it out and we can build a 39 community together, it'll just take some time

Look into Battleping or similar service, improves latency by using SSH tunneling which has higher priority over other Internet traffic. I have never used it but it seems to be the only way to improve latency from distant lands.

The fast pops make it worth it for me. I'm super rusty and casual. I just want games whenever I get a chance to jump on. Vsing lots of non twinks is half the fun too.

There's a 3 month wait period to xfer a character again, so we can always come back if for some reason it doesn't work out

Games are very competitive with us only winning 5 and having two 1+ hour games vs competent players. There's quite a few twinks, more hpals, less warlocks. Overall very happy with the move, it's nice actually getting pops. Seeing 1-2 games constantly up at USA 3am times. So far it's 3 of us OCE players with 5 or so others soon to move. Always looking for more!

Oceanic is dead. We gotta make the move unfortunately Doom. I played 39s with Sela and Co. on warmane for years on and off with around 200ms and you get used to it very quickly. In fact going back to oceanic server actually took a bit of getting used to as well...
