Working on testing one.. Trying learn how and why they hit so hard first hand.. and have some fun with high crit as well.
What is optimal spec for switching back and forth between smite's might hammer and deadskull/fang?
Your two hand choices are Glacial Stone > Nightreaver > Runic Darkblade. Smites is maybe close but without a proc it's not as good.
[doublepost=1589472264,1589427409][/doublepost]Went ahead and rustled up a build for you. Here's a high crit build that would work well when paired with a healer. Hovering around 17% Crit you can really do some work. If you want to go 2H I would definitely try to get your Crit up or you'll just be a squishier slap fighter.
TYVM. Itll be a while to grind up the gold to finish that. but that'll be the plan.. aside from +9 damage with sharpening stones. instead of fiery.
If you want GLASS-glass, go with Glowing Lizard Scale Cloak instead of Sentry Cloak, Outrunner chest of the tiger 5/5 instead of fang, Meadow Ring of Strength/Agility instead of Seal of Sylvanas.

Sure you can make horrible trades like that and get a tiny bit more dps. Let's see you're trading 2 Agi for 5 Stam with the cloak, 1 Str / 2 Agi for 11 Stam with the chest and 3 Agi for 8 Stam on the ring.
A dead warrior does 0 dps.

Orcish Battle Bow for the speed or what? Does ranged attack generate rage?
Im sure there is an arguement for having just enough stamina..? I just want to be a spamstring bot sometimes.. and not gaf. Yet also, trying to figure out what makes a geared warrior hit so hard.
[doublepost=1589827049,1589775054][/doublepost]Any recommendations on spec? Im having trouble generating rage.. looking into spec now.
I believe I agree.. like stam being more dps.. I feel imp block will result in more dps.. especially with a shield spike.I would look at something like this gear setup for a tanky spamstring style. Talents are somewhat limiting at 19 but if you are concerned about Rage you could look at Imp Charge build or even just Fury. Otherwise for tank mode you probably want to just run 5 Parry and 5 Block.
Lots of these builds adding Talbar Mantle. IMO get Durable chain if Alliance or the BoE white version if Horde. More effective HP, especially if you have a healer and pushing 2k hp.
redbeard crestIve learned much, Ty guys. Im currently in farming mode to luck out for an ass blade and fang.. Warrior is coming along nicely.. but is gonna be an xp balance. As well.. Ive learned I must have crusader enchants. Which is actually kind of exciting.. nice synergy.
Is there a 3rd viable shield besides Deadskull and Arctic? Im debating which gets the shield spike and what enchants on the arctic.. Deadskull is bis with stam I believe. Somewhere its suggested frost resistance or spirit on arctic is viable but its also the next best sheild for shield spike..
Glacial stone and fiery. Since I didn't read through everyones optimized guides... Fiery and spam sunder/slow. Company with that with Freedom of blessing and You're good.
1 Agility = 0.14% crit
1 Strength = 0.14 dps
Considering that, you would need 100 dps before 1 agility = 1 strength in terms of raw damage. Warriors are generally sitting on around 1/3 of that dps, meaning 1 strength ≈ 3 agility.
I don't even think it's worth going deeper into the maths, although I know it has been done, because practically speaking there aren't really any gear slots that would be affected bar perhaps Sentry Cloak vs Sentry's Cape vs Firebane Cloak.
Use 3/3 bear or 5 strength for damage, And either Firebane or Sentry for survival depending on whether you're facing fiery rogues and bombs or not. Items like the wsg neck, wsg ring, cobrahn's grasp, Deviate belt, fang legs (H), and blackened defias armour, are all used because of their other stats or because there isn't an alternative for the most part.
Gear your warrior how you like, so long as you are aware that if you stack agility for crit then your character is more of a meme than a twink.
