Had a couple games on Sunday on Alliance where we had no-gear no-chants (even on looms) hunters saying they had been waiting all week.
Yet in that weeks time of waiting, acquired no quest gear, no satchels, no bis chants, no profs, etc etc

In that case they probably need a kick in the butt to get their rear in gear. Insulting them and putting them down by the "better" twink will just discourage and scare them off.

Obviously there are better ways of getting new 19s to gear properly. i.e., directing them here to TI, taking time to pm them and respond to their questions, linking armories
But that is also presuming they're not neanderthals that respond only with stubborn ignorance and profanities, which is more often the case.
With the state of the bracket, its not these players that typically get "scared off"; its them who make the veteran players decide to log off, making games worse and ending game nights much earlier than they should.
