OGs Check In

Do I have the earliest registration date? I spent many years shitposting here (twinkinfo) growing up.

I still do the same thing, hang out at my computer all day and occasionally go outside, to a conference, or go clubbing to touch grass.

I'm not a real OG though, I was not around for BGForums. I showed up during PWN Depot.

Ye I remember seeing your long-face profile picture (at the time) everywhere lmao. Good days, good times. I'm still bad.

This is a newer account but ive been here since late cata (lurked more in the early days; created my OG account in MoP). Around WoD was when I was most active. I remember taking up the mod role when Shane owned the site and I really shouldn’t have put myself through that because later on around the time of the Twink Cup for 19s (Myrm took ownership around that time), shit was toxic as fuck. And I spent so many hours going through minor to major report tickets, trying to handle them the best way my 18/19 YO self could. And some of the other mods at the time were also helpful. Some were just kinda there, not doing much lol… Myrm was really chill but felt like a lot of stress was put on the few mods who were active, keeping Twinkinfo from becoming even more of a cesspool. Reports ranged from useless drama to Doxxing/occasionally illegal images/ death threats (one lowlife randomly threatened to shoot a member’s child and posted him holding his gun) But hey I guess it was cool Blizz mentioned the tourney in a blog and miraculously mentioned the site (so I’m partly proud I kept some bits of it in check to the public eye)

Not long after was the change in ownership from Myrm to Selaya (correct me if there was someone inbetween). A lot of people had to be culled from the site around that time and I’m sure it was for the better. TI had its glory days but the ship was sinking .

Xpoff was a breath of fresh air but drama still lurked. Eventually I had to throw in the orange colors. Glad it’s been more civilized. Yet I can’t help but feel some nostalgia despite all the chaos because the in-game communities and made it all somewhat worth it.

PS patch 5.2 was still the best. Played f2p then and it felt so satisfying to play somewhat on an even field before p2p enchants tipped the scales once again in 5.4. I’d say this was the golden age of f2p. I may reside on bleeding hollow but a part of me strongly remembers AP US.
