Finally finished all the quests on alliance (really wish I could do the horde ones too!!), and did OK.
I have no intention to re-roll, so was really hoping for the Bloodmyst crossbow or Elwynn forest pole-arm to upgrade, but I got some runners up, so that'll suffice.
I didn't have the foresight to screenshot the upgrades as they happened, so here they are, equipped.

Haha. It has indeed been a long time.
A lot of the others aren't around anymore unfortunately, but I couldn't resist farming new gear (epics!!) so here I am.

Best bet is to go on the wowhead item search, limit your search to items acquired from level 1-19, and then only quest rewards. You're looking for stuff with versatility on it, stuff that is grossly over statted for one reason or another, or weapons if you're not able to use the farmable options. Regular greens are ilvl = character level, blues are level + 6, and epics are level +12. This means epics at level 19 are ilvl 31.

This grind is merciless if you dont use multiple accounts to realm hop lol... I've just gotten Feathered headress epic so far.. on my first kill lol.. and now im walking around with 10+ foremans leggings ... Blue.. and countless gloves.. and procced 6 rare silvermoon pieces none epic.. and bags and bags full of boulder pads.. but none epic... i guess i'll just wait a while and set up a nice way to grind with like 5 accounts xD and save me this headache.
