If you check the undermine journal website, on all realms it hasn't been seen scaled to 60, and its current price is in the millions. so yeah safe to say it isn't dropping. When chromatic came back up, it was showing at level 60 and the price plummeted FAST. It's not dropping anymore for sure

Sorry man, it hurts. I'd just keep the vest and call it a day. I'm only farming since my rogue has northrend engineering so i can't delete/remake for epic and he didn't luck out.

lots of twinks are obsessive about going that extra mile for that last bit of stat increase, or an item out of pure aesthetic. its nothing new with the epic farm.
all in its just for fun, don't need to turn it into a lesson. i know you'd feel the same way if you had your quest available tence <3

I would say it's only worth it for a weapon, or the Soothsayer Chest Piece, if you have Allied Races. Rerolling for more mundane quest rewards without BfA is too much though.

I think there's a limit. I haven't rerolled an older toon. But I did decide to make another vet toon and rerolled my allied race toon 5-6 times to get an epic weapon. I'll let chips fall wherever for the rest of the gear, but I totally see reasoning behind at least getting an epic weapon.

I have an entire faction of quests I never did. I don't see the point in faction changing for a chance at something 2-3% better. Its the same reason I never went for max Ilvl templates. Some fancy new purple isn't going to magically make you good or any better than you were previously.

I don't, I missed out on mine but it's 2 intellect and a minor secondary loss unless you're getting Preemptive Striker which no one is. For most casters Foamspittle is gonna be your choice which is farmable. For 2h dps its gonna be Pacifier which is also farmable, not sure about tanks because they are so rare but I dont imagine the gain is incredible there either.

Is it though, gonna have to roll alot of health pots to give up that loom neck heal.

I dunno. I guess it boils down to whether or not its easy work, is it a new toon, are you happy with like 3 less stats, etc? Im not gonna reroll my warrior to chase epic quest rewards. Ill farm Pacifier. But make a brand new pally? On an allied race? You bet I rerolled a few times to lock down an epic weapon. It was easier than farming pacifier. And now if I choose to farm it... epic weapon swap, bro!

Which is only gonna get harder, if anyone hasn't noticed the throngs amassing every time you look for it. Dead servers too.

edit- And as to all the "fascination" with rerolling? If you don't have a 19 or 20, why wouldn't you? Once again the center of the universe cant see that other people may not have been there before... rerolling a new toon for a desired piece is clearly the most efficient thing to do. Anyone who has one and rerolls obviously think they can do better. Why not?

Maybe youre right maybe its just that theres a world cup more often than I make a new char.
 
Might as well show what I got on my Character so far

The two epics are House Wrynn Claymore 8 Str, 8 Stam, 8 crit. and Thaelrid's Greaves which are 8 Str, 13 Stam, and 7 Crit. I have stopped getting epics till the free weekend is over. I have done all the humans zones except the west side of Duskwood but haven't touched the night elf or dwarf zones yet.
 
Yeah, I didn't reroll any preexisting twinks, but i wanted to mess with a dark iron mage, so it made sense to reroll for the chest.
