Went specifically for that drop too, didn't take long. I may never need it, but now I got it...

Finally got the epic lab frock after remaking the mage 10 times ugh. Took about 10mins per, used my 2nd account with a 110 mage to sit at ironforge portal spot. Group, make theramore portal, both go there. fly and do the 6 quests...rinse repeat until epic....

Or it works only from open world elites/quests?
