Has any thought gone into how GFed gear will be handled this NWL/TC season?

Anyone who is a hardcore twink loves their GFed items, but for the sake of competition, would it make sense to ban GFed items? The Titanforged invasion gear is what comes to mind mostly, but all unobtainable can be discussed as well.

My suggestion would be for NWL/TC related games to just use the base template (ilvl 24 for 19s, etc). Only reason I think it's a big deal is because of the ilvl increase across the board for almost every gear slot, on top of it being obtainable for such a short time period.





Thoughts?
 
My suggestion will be that tournament mode is used - while in WoD tournament mode didn't do anything for 19s and just gave us 0 gear, since the new stat templates it gives us stats, no matter what gear we have, so everyone will be equal. However numbers in this mode are significantly different to non tournament mode.

Excellent idea but would need to be tested. In WoD, it would break anything that wasn't tournament gear, which leads me to believe that it is going to count you as having nothing on instead of having ilvl 24 gear.

Well that's interesting, looks like people are still going to have to wargame to get a feel for tournament scaling.
 
There's tournament gear for 19's?? Or did you mean in wargames you get buffed up there?
 
If u do tournament rules for wargames these days you get a stat template and your gear won't matter at all
 
I see. Then I guess having GF'd gear on would not matter at all, making it useless to have rules against it.

Also, if you have the ilvl 24 invasion gear on I imagine it wouldn't give you any additional bonuses aside from literally 1 or 2 ilvl (not average, but per item for 1-3 items). It does not seem op in even the slightest sense, even if you just let it stay in there.

except you get ilvl 34 gear from invasions and its actually a big enough difference to push people into ilvl 40+ giving them a decent advantage

what you are saying makes no sense. gear can be a decent advantage especially if u hit ilvl 40 somthing plus but it doesnt matter because the tournament rule wargame setting will probably be used as its the best option there is

I said that if its the tourney wargame rules that give you stats regardless, any level of gear does not matter. With the ilvl 24 gear on, it will not matter if it is grandfathered or not. At all. Except maybe 1 or 2 pieces like if you can only get ilvl 22 gloves for example.

so ur autistic? sorry for being mean i didnt know u were disabled bro. also what u said made no sense because the tournament rules stat template doesn't even go off gear/ilvl

edit: also not sure why ur so stuck on the ilvl 24 gear when you can get ilvl 34 gear thats going to be gfed come legion giving u a big advantage but okay bud
