Now that thread was the most entertaining thread since..

oh dear, you seem to think i have some vendetta with f2ps?

sadly i dont, its just so happens 90% of the retarded bullshit that appear's on TI happens to happen on that section of site. i used to care about the twinking community its just so happens its deteriorated over the last 3-4 years and as this site has swapped hands, mods come and go the culture of this very site has come down to:

1) if its not a happy smiley post/thread =deleted.
2) you cant disagree with anyone because thats only what "trolls" do.
3) then you get cancerous little brown nosers who seem to stir shit/attention seek any opportunity they have.

If im being honest its mostly coming from f2ps (was coming from 19s till it went inactive), i dont hate (i need to give a shit first) f2p i played them myself since cata launch.

I have nothing against you but theres a point where "caring" and acting like a "mod" and you seem to be over stepping it.

Your opinions have been heard and acknowledged.

it would be nice to see how you guys can handle a debate by yourselves

you don't get it kinkaide.. Or you don't want to get it (hope the second one is correct).

They are not here to improve the quality of these forums. They are here to vent there rl frustration since they only care to start fights arguing with ppl, calling names, trolling... Etc.

Call me whatever you want but this is not improving the community this is degrading it.

Look around, almost every topic is filled with the same people like thesaint, junoo and some others. What they post about? Read my above writing.

Check the f2p section for example. There are only a handful of topics that are not touched by them and their degradation.

Now, you can call me subjective cuz it's a known fact i can't stand them but, tell me what did they bring constructive over time?

They have shitloads of posts and 90% of them are bullcrap trolling and you can't argue me on this one.

Now, about them or some of them leaving ti, that won't happen, they can't live without ti, the only place that makes them feel kinda important, the place where they can throw all the trash they gather rl.

I'd suggest a psycologist for them.

*taps foot*

Why would I argue with you? You have your own perspective and it's as valid as mine.

But mine happens to be that Saint and Juno are not cut from the same cloth. I was just PMing someone this same statement, but I think that Saint's posts have the function of calling out people who need to be called out... maybe sometimes that's directed at you, I know sometimes it's directed at me, but I can accept that I've said a few things over the years that came across all mis-intended. I don't see Saint as someone who jumps on other people's weakness, I see him as someone who calls BS when he sees BS. I think he might see BS where I don't see a problem, but, he is as entitled to his perspective as any of us. My point was that we don't want the mods limiting that perspective by us constantly asking them to censor people we just don't agree with.

When I was talking about the community self-regulating, I was also talking about you. You do a good job of calling people on BS as well. I'm sure that you don't want to have your ability to do that censored either, so to have that latitude, you have to afford that latitude to some others.

I'm not saying that the mods should let us all run amok. There ARE clearly some people whose purpose is just to spew hate. inoob got dealt with appropriately in that regard, and if Juno doesn't cool it with his polluting every thread with F2P hate, he might end up being next. But only because he can't control himself... NOT just because he has a different point of view. We can't silence people just for having a different point of view, that would be wrong. Only when a person is polluting the boards or making people miserable, and not making any positive contribution to counteract, do I now think we should be calling on the mods to step in.

Is this a different perspective from the one I said a few weeks ago? Yes, it is. I've been paying a lot of attention to -what- exactly Saint talks about and against, and I've also thought a lot about what srsbsns said in the post he linked above. I've come to the conclusion that trying to whitewash the forums is A) not ever going to succeed, and B) more importantly, isn't what the community wants. My view is that the community wants to be able to take care of itself and handle its own problems. I think the rule of the sandbox will tell us when a person is acting out of line with what we will tolerate anymore, and then we can call in the big guns to take someone out.

This is just a thought.

It's clear we have different points of view when comes to "health" of a forum/community.

I'm no pacifist with those that are beyond redemption(on my POV). I'm a radical.

It's clear we have different points of view when comes to "health" of a forum/community.

Well like I said, I'm trying to keep my perspective flexible, and just trying to see all sides. So nothing in my point of view is necessarily going to be fixed from now on. It just depends on how things go and how things evolve over time. People and perspectives do change.

Can we please keep our drama to like a small paragraph per post at most . I reall enjoy reading through these threads but i can never be bothered to read a full page and a half post . Thanks <3

... Given how little is posted in the f2p section per-day, these days, 90%? Really? Often its one of your kind that starts the threads you're talking about.

This nonsense about giving whatever is the exact reason people turn around and tell you to get lost. No one wants to hear it; it isn't a matter of you making a valid point or not. If you don't like it here, I'm sorry, but you can't go around pissing people off for that purpose in of itself and expect everyone to let it go.

You'll read your essay and you'll like it!

The realization that I had recently is that although most of my post are well written and hilarious :p, they had the effect of shutting people up and shutting people out of conversations. People that have valid, good ideas, but maybe don't have the benefit of a college education with which to express them. People shouldn't have to be a professional writer to be able to post here. It's a gamer forum, not a essay contest.

Like an insult comic, I can be funny, I can be smart. I can use these talents to make people look bad, and do it publicly. I'm also an adult with the benefit of education and experience in a forum that (used to) be filled with people of all ages and experience levels. I realized that my actions were just not cricket. This kind of drama has led to this once vibrant forum to become incestuous, where the only people left posting are those that want to have formal debates on esoteric topics that almost no one but a very few members understands, or even cares about. It got to the point where I just felt like I was arguing with different versions of myself.

I'm sorry Bend, this post is going to be five paragraphs (it's all I know), but keep with me: I'd like to challenge everyone to be a little less snarky, and a little more tolerant of other peoples positions. Empathy is possibly the greatest skill. It's like Jedi mind tricks that give you insight into another person's mind. It can unite nations, and win poker games. Use it to imagine yourself in the other persons shoes: would you want to make a typo or a minor point of rhetoric, only to have someone bash you over the head for it? What effect would that have? Most people don't like to be embarrassed, and will seek not to have it happen again. So people stop posting, and eventually stop reading.

How this relates TI, is that enough people have been sniped, that only the most obstinate, loud mouthed people care enough post anymore (myself included). If this post comes off as douchey, well maybe that's just me, but I mean every word. And I really hope to make a positive impact on this community that I care so much about. That's why I found it in my heart to donate $10 to the cause. I would hate to lose the rest of you all for lack of funding, and I'd like everyone that's stopped posting for these above reasons to come back; I miss you.

p.s. A big reason for change of heart was listening to HB's podcast on bracket drama. It felt like they were talking directly to me sometimes, so I'll leave you all with it here: 15 Minutes With HB ep. 63 w/ Chops and iBigs - Drama With A Side of Ego | bisnation.net

Srs I've always had a lot of respect for you but the last week or so has seen that increase even more. It takes a lot of courage to say and do what you're saying and doing. You have my gratitude.

What's funny is that I pm'ed Kincaide ealier on how not to sound like a douche when posting. A case of the pot calling the kettle black? — you decide. Well, the jokes on y'all now: I'm f2p famous, bitches!

Anyway, for those of you still wondering what this thread is about: it's a thread full of drama, about a tread started to cause drama, stemming from in-game drama, that came about from bans that resulted from a hack. Some next level shit, I know.

This is why I prefer comedy.
