Not possible to carry alt for gear anymore?

I'm trying to carry my 20 alt with my lvl 50 on a separate account. For example; trying to carry through Crypts in TBC & everything is scaling to 50+ for my main and I'm unable to solo.. Am I doing something wrong or syncing incorrectly? Sorry if this has been answered already I've searched through the forums and can't find the answer.. thanks!

Wait I might of answered my own question.. I had to enter the instance and not be in a group and it scaled down to lvl 30 for my main 50.. then invited my alt and it stayed the same. I guess we will see if I have to do that for every single reset.. oooof

dont use party sync.

Just make sure both characters are on the present (bfa) timeline and not chromie time and your 50 will plow right through

Thanks guys, it was the party syncing that was screwing me up after all.. Didn't seem that obvious before

Timeline doesnt even matter, they'll just be phased apart until you get inside then you can run them no problemo.
