Not getting marks of honor

Hey everyone, just coming back to F2P and I have noticed I'm not getting any marks of honor in my crate of battlefield goods. I've won about 4 bg's and still not 1.

Have things changed?

Nah you can still get them, it's just not 100%.
I've gotten like 2 this past week.

it's not a garanteed drop from bg boxes at lower levels these days, I'd guess its maybe a 10-15% chance to get one from the boxes now?

5% I would say. I got two marks of honor like 3 weeks ago. These 2 past weeks, nothing (and I've made many BGs with several wins)

Can't guarantee this is 100% true because I don't know the exact statistics. But you can be sure it's quite rare

5% or so feels about right in terms of Mark drop chances at level 20 [at least when I used to be more active many months or a year+ ago].

Marks of honor supposedly has a higher drop chance at higher levels [or at least at endgame levels]. If true, a vet with a active sub may try to farm marks of honor from endgame bgs and mail them to their vet [in contrast to F2Ps or non-subbed Vets].

Note: I'm unsure if what I wrote is actually true or not [or ever was in SL]. It's based on old hearsays/comments I recalled from a few old xpoff posts during BFA or older.

The minute all your gem slots are full, the game can smell it and the drop rate jumps to 30%

yeah my fully gemmed priest gets them all the time my non gemmed shaman never gets them lol. I resubbed today tor estock on supplies anyway so I can just log onto my jc toon and mail them off.

edit- not 7 archmages... 7 total kills when i got there. Like 3 mages.

But in 2 months I can have him gemmed, so seems fair.

Spent a couple of hours there on a dk recently with nothing, rng hates me. Resubbed and remembered I have 2 patterns on my old 60 rogue anyway lol.

I'll allow the derail because I wanna tell my crusader story too! (we call this 'mod abuse' folks)

When SL first dropped and we realized there were no more caps on professions, I was convinced it was a bug. So I woke up the next day at 5am (after finishing my ilvl 49 at like 2am) and rushed vanilla enchanting to 300 and then farmed crusader. I assumed it would take a couple hours and I'd be able to get a good nights sleep but 8 hours later, I was still farming.

8. fucking. hours.

But then, once everything had settled down and I was just doing doing all the vanilla quests I decided I should farm up a second recipe before I phased the mobs out and just in case something came up down the road.

5 mobs.

I went out and bought a twelve pack, a bunch of snacks, rented a movie on amazon... everything to be prepared for another several hour grind.

For 5 mobs.

I should make a guide to an almost guaranteed MoH farm, but fair warning: it require a bit of elbow grease and initial time investment, but afterwards its just a 3 min log in and check thing.

They can drop as 2x. Got 3x total today. From a total of 4 crates. Good luck!
