Nostalgia Thread - Firework Show Second Anniversary

Hey whatsup everyone! So the other day I was logged into Dontdodrugs standing outside the Valley of Honor bank as I usually am when some random guy goes, “Dontdodrugs!? Laughing Skull FTW?! Holy shit, now there’s two names I haven’t seen in a while.” It was some random 90 pally. I asked him how he knew myself and the guild, and as it turns out he used to premade LS FTW back in Vanilla and BC in a guild called Guild Punishment. At that time I wasn’t guild master, hell I wasn’t even on the premade team! But I remembered GP, players like Vadore, Alrite, Town, Donsanto, and the intense rivalry our guilds used to have. Anyway I ended up catching up with this guy and reminiscing on the great times we had back then, and it put me in a very nostalgic mood. I decided to go back and watch some of the old LS FTW videos, going from the first firework show in August of 2008, to the third and most recent one two years ago. While watching the most recent show which Eliot put together on Twinking.net, I noticed the date: July 15, 2012 – making today the second anniversary of that memorable day. So today I want to celebrate the awesome people of this bracket – and the awesome stuff we’ve done over these many, many years. It’s been such a joy doing premades, arenas, and most of all special events like the Firework Shows with all of you. Below you’ll find links to all three of Laughing Skull FTW’s firework shows.


This is the first show ever. I did the coordinating and editing, while an old friend named Hiicha did the shooting on his hunter. Notice the music is from that one dope Spongebob episode where they perform in the superdome.

Here’s the second show. This was my personal favorite to coordinate and shoot, as we tried something new by involving the Alliance in our celebration, led by Snookie and Confident. I’ll never forget editing this guy, as it was an absolute pain getting all the timing down with the effects. Turned out nice though.

This guy was a nightmare to coordinate and sort out the logistics, but I’d be damned if it wasn’t worth it. It clearly wouldn’t have been nearly as spectacular if all of you guys didn’t show up, so a huge thank you to those who came. Really an extraordinary event. Notice the third was recorded twice. Since I was busy getting everybody situated with fireworks, I was more than happy that HB stepped up to do not only the shooting but also the editing – and he did a great job. The second link is Eliot’s version, which I have to say is equally as awesome as far as editing goes. Once again, thanks to everyone who came and made this event so special.

Brings back memories. First guild i was in when i started 19's. A very fun day.
 
I don't think i was there for this but still have some unreal memories from LSFTW, my first ever twink guild i joined!:D
 
I remember going to the most recent firework show, good times. :) Can't believe that was two years ago.

I love how so many people were able to experience LS FTW! And I have to agree with Kekki, it's time for another show! I'm pissed I let midsummer go by without stocking up on all the dope fireworks they provide! On a side note, definitely check out Yoube's podcast with me and HB. It was really cool of them to invite me on and I had a great time recalling a bunch of awesome memories. Cheers everyone
