Non bound items from 'classic' to classic BC ?

Has there been any word on how the character copy will handle non bound BoE items?

I spent a few months in early classic hoarding twink items and ended up quitting classic so they never got equipped. Have some good stuff and hoping it will copy over unbound.
But seemingly that creates the 'issue' of everyone doing a paid copy being able to copy over the same item(s.)

your character will automatically get sent to TBC unless you choose your entire acc or pay for a specific char to stay in vanilla.

I'm sure that applies to your unequipped BoE's as well
