Nominate your Bracket Manager for Lvl 20 Forum

Broken

Legend
As most of you already know, Myrm has purchased Twinkinfo and he wishes to re-introduce the Bracket Manager position for the different twinking brackets. Here's a part of his statement from the initial announcement.

Bracket managers: I'm very unfamiliar with any bracket except 19s, and I almost never visit the other sections of the site. My goal with the bracket managers is to find reliable people who are active and respected within their bracket, so that I have people to educate me and keep me well informed about their communities. The different brackets form distinct and fairly separate communities, and I don't want to alienate any of these communities. I want to make sure that I'm making the right changes for each community to foster growth and the competitive spirit that's common to all of our brackets.

As I'm familiar with the 19s bracket I was able to make the choice myself, but for the other active brackets I want to leave it partially up to the community. Over the next few days we'll be accepting nominations and creating polls, and I'd like to talk to some of the candidates. The candidates should be reliable and respectable people that you as a community can trust to represent your interests, not necessarily the most popular.

Basically, the purpose of this thread is for you, the community, to post and
Nominate who you think would make the best Bracket Manager.

Bracket Managers are supposed to be people you trust to represent your bracket. People who you respect and know will always put the bracket first. It doesn't necessarily have to be the "most skilled player" or the most popular person out there.

Discuss it with each other and think about it yourselves as well. After a while, the Staff will asses the nominations and select 2-4 of them that we feel would make the best candidates. A poll will then be held and the community will vote for who they want the next Bracket Manager to be.

Questions are always welcome!

I am up for the Task Vote me. I have experience setting up events and I'm a moderator of a blizzcon contenders stream.

Assuming we cant vote for ourself Lenny sounds like a nice option.

Just some suggestions, Not just a title but a purpose!!!

-Bracket managers should have upwards of an 80% activity time, meaning online almost everyday and interacting with the 20-29 community vigorously.
-Be respectful and know how to float above the bullshit and guild favoritism.
-Be the driving force in guild v guild and arena tournaments, and the ability and capacity to learn relevant software eg. Challonge - Tournament Brackets - Single & Double Elimination, Round Robin, Swiss, Group Stage
-And lastly good communication skills with the ability to reach out to other guilds and players and form bridges for the purpose of forming an actual 20-29 community and not just twinks who Q for bgs!!!

? not sure if you are in wrong section but I doubt many here are interested in forming a 29 community because they view it as uncompetitive.

Very strongly disagree, after the 29 3v3 tournament last week Friday. The GMs of 5 guilds were in teamspeak discussing rules for the next 3v3 tournament, some of these guys I know very well but would still woop their a$$ if I see them in a BG. What do you think GG19, the NWC and the twink cup are, all community based agendas with only advantages and almost no disadvantages or compromises in uncompetitiveness.

Many in this bracket are not 29, some are vet, but not all have access so some would be left out. This is not a new thing either.

F2P have had events in the past, a few actually its just no prizes involved as the F2P part indicates some not wanting to spend $ on the game.

F2P community far as from TI has many members on break/Quitting otherwise you would see a ton more activity. I also believe there should be a section for vets separate from F2P if that was possible. I understand they share bracket but I think both are better off separate as most of the stuff here as of now is F2P related.

Not absolutely sure on the limits of a F2P account or even a vet, but once u can group in a btag party thats all you need. Me personally I hope that this bracket can be fully integrated with vets Qing alongside 29s to boost community driven efforts and have more wargames/tournaments going out. My guild also has a decent amount of vets and I would not, not even for a second leave them out of any activities that I'm doing.

I would say for the level 20 forum you should get two Bracket Managers, one for the F2P community and another for the Veterans / P2P 20s.

I would say for the F2P manager it should be Lenny (guides and what not) or ETShaman (promotes F2P activity with the F2P premades every week.)

For Veterans / P2P 20s I would say either me or Turtle (mainly just because we run the most active guilds in bracket and try to promote activity for Veterns / P2P 20s)

I'm sure all four of us would be up for the challenge of bracket managers.

Possibly some EU people would for sure deserve it, I don't know any of them though.

Ok Lenny is a good shout but I'd have to say AlbinoCow. No one on TI has done more to help F2P activity and encourage F2P wargames than him over the past 2 years. This is the reason he was given TI MVP and i'm sure there's no better person to lead the F2P bracket than him.

nominate Trialmop, the donal trump of warcraft.

Im cool with lenny or ETshaman getting to lead the bracket. ET has been working nonstop for a while even with new comers.

Have to agree with this. We should have two for the level 20 section, starter and a vet/subbed 20.

Maybe 4 making them EU/US

or just make 1 of the 2 opposite region

on a side note - Vets seem like they might grow big enough for their own section separate from F2Ps. Many events F2Ps like to stay separate from people with enchants and such p2p type things.

I defintely want to represent the veterans along with burg

I believe lenny is the best choice for f2p. I recognize albinocow and ETsham's potential of wargame but I dont think that is a quality in the bracket manager. I mean, I and many other guilds/f2p players set up wargames on their own terms, just because it doesnt get on TI or opened to the public, it doesnt make it less validated
