New to this bracket,wondering on a class.Would appriciate some advice.

Hello,everyone!I just started playing on blizzard recently.Before that i played on a private server,which was on the wotlk version.In the server at some point i became interested in level 70 twinks so i made a rogue and i started to play.It was uqite fun so i spent quite a lot of time playing in the 70s bracket instead of doing ICCs ect. When i started to blizzard it was pretty weird for me to see that a lot of the things in the game have been changeg,especially the things regarding the classes,for example the talent and skills.
I was wondering if you guys could help me out a bit by answering a few questions and if possible give me some advice.
I actually leveled a paladin to 85 and by that time i managed to get enough vp and jps to be able to get a few heirlooms.Being in a level 25 guild also helped,i could get the 3 guild vendor heirlooms available.So an idea came to my mind and that was to make a 70 twink.I bought 5 heirlooms-the stormshroud shoulders from the pvp heirloom vendor which i got with honor points,i collected enough justice points to get the shadowcraft chest and because of my guild i bought the shadowcraft heirlooms from the guild vendor.
Right now i'm wondering what class i should pick.I actually made a monk which i leveled to 13 just to try him out and i could say i'm not really impressed so far in pvp.The other class i consider for a twink is the rogue.
So my question is:
Which class is stronger in this bracket?The monk,the rogue?

I'll be honest and say I skipped most of that, I went straight to your question.

My suggestion would be rogue if you like being more independent / doing your own thing, Monk would be more of a controller in our bracket if you're talking about any spec besides Mist-weaver. MW is just plain damned annoying at times with that dematerialize and general mobility.
