US New TBC Account

I had an idea...
Make a brand new WoW account and only upgrade to TBC.
Work up a toon to max level of 70.
Would this actually work? Meaning anybody know into what bracket this toon would que? Would it be relegated into the never pop exp off bg's? Or into the active bg's?

I’m pretty sure you automatically get at least panda, may even be later now, so I don’t think this is possible anymore even for people who have had a tbc account since tbc

Yeah, a while back Blizzard made it so you don’t even have to buy the base game.. just make a free-to-play account then add a subscription and you have everything from Vanilla to Legion.

I had a TBC account in wtlk and when Cata come out all TBC accounts were considered XpOff and were put into those ques. Just a tid bit of moot information
