New PvE hero class?

Before 5.0.4, Mages and rogues were Pve superheroes, but how is it now? I havnt seen any full 70 raids yet, though im going in one this friday.

But id like to hear you guys experience/DPS

How much can you pull off selfbuffed on dummy? (not 30 sec burst, be able to keep the number basically forever, at least 1 mill dmg)

Remember to write spec/class, and even better, an armory link if you want to :)
 
I don't really have any PvE geared twinks. But I'm almost certain that mages, rogues and BM hunters will be topping dps charts.

I have an almost BIS mage, and its doing way less than pre patch, especially as arcane, i used to be able to get 18-20k crits on dummy, now im lucky if i see 12k
DPS is down alot aswell

Rogues are very good yes, i have a 71 rogue with Nifflevar and almost bis doing 5.5k, so yes rogues could deffinately top with good gear.
 
I find that bm is actually rather lackluster without mastery. Out of the 3 specs it is the one I have found to do the least damage in pvp (tripple trinkets make it very handy for that still tho) .
MM loses large amounts of dps as piercing shoots are now 72 (pre patch piercing was constantly my #1 dmg ability).
With mm (nonbuffed) I did around 6.4-6.5k single target pre patch. Idk how it is after the patch, ever since I went to ss the latency really fucks my dps over in orgimar.
I suspect mm may still beat sv/bm in pve (saw some 30k+ aimed crits in full agi gear).
Just suspicions tho not really tested it thoroughly yet (lost some gear to those ugly power gems/ retarded lagg).

Interresting, ive had a 100% bis dual glaive rogue at 70, with synapse and everything, and back when Big Daddy + Bolt Gun wasnt nerfed i could pull off 8-8.5k on bosses like Brut, so id love to hear how you manage 11k throughtout a bossfight.

I play rogue as main aswell with decent world ranks and no brag but i know how to play rogue better than i know how to breathe, so its not like i fuck up rotations :p

Or is the 11k post 5.0.4? :)

Myself and a handful of other Rogues in my guild used to pull 10/11k dps regularly.

My rotation was literally just sinister strike and eviscerate, applying dots and poisons lowers dps a lot, I had a screenshot of our brutalus DPS meter at one point because I've been questioned about it before. Its true though, a Rogue can do 10k, or could. It also depends of what your idea or BiS might be, sir. Dual glaives certainly isn't Bis in my eyes.
 
But if all your dps guys were on 8-10k i agree its very very doable, in my raids it was me on 8-8.5 and rest on 4-6k max, so kills went pretty slow, but with a full raid of bis dps doing 10k sure its possible as the fight is alot faster

Have you considered full raid buffs and things like Flasking/Food Buffs/ full raid made up to give every single possible buff/debuff? Missing even a few of these can dramatically alter dps.

I think the main thing is your raid dps was low so kills were fairly slow. If you had very high raid dps, the boss kills were that short that they would not last much longer than Bloodlust and hence the percentage of the fight that had 30% haste would be that much higher, etc...

Yeah my point exactly, shorter fights = alot higher DPS, i had the common raid buffs, meaning i didnt have Focus Magic as rogue etc but had the essential shit

This is indeed, true. A group of 25 FULLY twinked out level seventies isn't going to take long to take down any TBC content, I would only guild invite people after an application was made too, so everyone in LFME knows their class quite well.

If I was stuck on a 45 minute fight, my dps would probably drop to 8k ;'D

Wow 25 fully twinked, we ran with 15-20 ppl most in brutal gear lol
 
Did 10 man BT last night, we didnt have heroism, 10% spellpower buff or the spelldmg taken debuff on target (if it still exists) but DPS was between 9-9.5k on bosses, i died on first few as i bursted out 20k for first 10-15 sec >< shadowpriest
 
Here on Thrall we in Caliber guild do sunwell and BT every week with only 70s
Usually we have 15 or more people in raid but it varies

anyways Shadow Priest are top dps.. followed by rogues and hunters ATM, also ive seen some very good Boomkin DPS from guild members friends weve invited from other realms.
