new monk 26/28/29

Hi im leveling up a new monk for the new bracket and im not sure what level to stop at? I stop gaining abilities at 26 but there looks to be far better gear available at 28. Any reason to go 29?

Imo 28.

29 if you want more hit chance in skirms. But there really isn't much new from 29. So the scaling from 28 is pretty convenient.

I have a 28 Brew and she is pretty decent, I have come across noone that I cant 1v1 and win, specially now with a heal.

29. Always 29. There's absolutely nothing gained by not going 29, except to be one of those hipsters who thinks they're doing something new/different.

Doesn't matter.. if you play BrM you're pretty much golden. They're basically the new hunters, except more faceroll. But about the level, 29 for arenas, scaling from 28 isn't worth it all that much.

I like how that's your only counter argument

My only counter argument?

I've already said you gain absolutely nothing by not going to 29. Do you think there's some magic numbers that come out of nowhere to make a level 28 suddenly better than a 29 in terms of stats? The up scaling only adds 1 point to base stats and some gear, which would put you right where you were if you were wearing identical gear at level 29.

So yeah, staying level 28 is definitely a hipster thing to do.

I'll bite, you gain nothing? There's no difference between 28 and 29? Heirloom stats 28 and 29 are completely identical. The thing you are misunderstanding is that my 28 brewmaster goes from 6500 to 7200 hp (not bis, no AGM) in bgs by being scaled to 29. Perhaps that isn't much, but it's enough for me to laugh at you at the end of the day because; your making horrid accusations over one level, harassing and calling people names when really at the day, your stuck with 20s, 24s, 28s and 29s.

Furthermore; if someone wants to twink at the lower levels of a bracket to experience what stat scaling can do then let them. What do they lose if they don't like it? Gold and time, that's really it. While your going off like a child complaining about how doing something different is being a hipster, dear fucking lord. Why do I have to kiss your ass to play in this bracket?

Stacking pure stamina items (ignoring all other stats) and then claiming to have a huge boost in stamina from scaling between 28/29 is not really an honest way of looking at it. You want a balance of stats, even as a tank.

I'm guessing if he had stacked agi on his monk it would scale as well like the stamina is now...

Stacking any 1 stat over all others is bad. So even if you found a way to get 700 more HP on a level 28 in BGs, you're not doing yourself any favors by gimping your other stats. Unless you want to be an FC who rolls with pocket heals, you aren't going to be effective at anything else.
