New gear @ 29

With Patch 3.2, there are a few interesting new gear choices available for engineers in this bracket. Before 3.2, training Goblin or Gnomish Engineering required level 30. Now, however, it is available to 29s.



The new items are:

Goblin

[ITEM]Goblin Mining Helmet[/ITEM]

[ITEM]Goblin Construction Helmet[/ITEM]

[ITEM]Goblin Bomb Dispenser[/ITEM] (only Gnomes can train this, due to their racial)

[ITEM]Goblin Dragon Gun[/ITEM] I am not sure what engi level is required for this. Ill check and update



Gnome

[ITEM]Gnomish Goggles[/ITEM] These currently give +11sp as well. An alternative to [ITEM]Spellpower Goggles Xtreme[/ITEM] if you need stam

[ITEM]Gnomish Battle Chicken[/ITEM]

[ITEM]Gnomish Death Ray[/ITEM] I believe this requires 240 engineering to use, so Gnomes only im afraid. It does some great damage.



No, none of these are game breaking. But the [ITEM]Gnomish Goggles[/ITEM] and [ITEM]Gnomish Death Ray[/ITEM] are fairly nice.
 
Unless they nerfed it again I'd say that the death ray is fairly game breaking - average hits of 900-1500 with possible crits of 4k - before the zerker buff and flag debuffs oO



good thing it can be interrupted





edit: oh and since the deathray does not require engi to use you could get it and drop enginering for something else and still benefit from the opness ;)
 
I believe it was 260 engineering in 3.1



Besides, to level it to 260 (300) u have (had) to be lvl 35.

Enginering specialization has always required 200 engi and level 30 - the death ray 240



they removed the level 30 req on gnome engineering aparently ( havent verified this, nor am I inclined to do so )
 
Looks like fun although cba to level engineering again , dam my 360 engineering on my 69 pally , guess the questing and then profs is annoying me =p.
 
Where did you get the info that you dont have to be level 30 for the specialization? I am not doubting you, I just dont remember hearing it
