New Druids

  • I'm in the middle of gearing my druid and I had a question. Can new druids without GF'd gear compete against those with it?
Here is my armory, I would appreciate suggestions.
(Remember, still in the middle of gearing.)

Used them to level :p. Going for fishing hat then picking up herb. lolol.

Horde has enough resto druids >.>

I was in a game and they had 5.

I wouldn't suggest it, because you'd really only be weighing your team down by not playing a more viable healing class (since there are already tons of resto druids).

Maybe I should be more clear, I would be FCing.

bandit belt, woodworking/serpentis' gloves with 16 sp, resil staff, resil shoulders, lfh, preened ironfeather breastplate, +5 resist to cape, minor speed to boots, switch to 7 stam when 4+ debuff, use engi/herb as profs if u use bombs actively, if not go mining/herb

Hey Trillium, I guess it really just depends on your knowledge of the gulch and if your a good kiter, i mean the druids with GFd gear will be able survive a bit longer but really its all about skill and knowledge of the terrain if you dont really know a whole lot about the terrain ( which i doubt ) then make another druid and practice jumps in the reg bracket otherwise we are still able to FC effectively in the 19 bracket and in my opinion their is no class funner the a resto FC.

Yeah I know the terrain pretty well, its just the problem of getting destroyed 1v1 by a rogue with zerker lol (while crossing mid).

moonfire him, pop thorns and rejuv-swiftmend-rejuv-bearform-demoralizing roar

should be fine, doubt he can blow up a 45% armor 2.5k hp druid within a few seconds ;]

if there's multiple rogues, root them, don't bother faking the first one, if you get interrupted just travelform away or bear form if you got friendly healers nearby

You hardly get soloed by a rogue unless you have a bunch of debuffs. What I would worry more about it good hunters/mages. However if you can make it to horde tunroof, probably nobody will solo you. :)

If you get attacked by a rog, just pop rejuv, swiftmend when needed, then another rejuv and travelform away. Make sure you throw a moonfire on them when theyre still in combat but you're not in melee range of them. They will probably pop sprint and shadowstep soon, dont panic, just keep your rejuv rolling all the time. A good thing is to use warstomp then straight after a root if you really really dont want to get hit by them anymore. Keep throwing rejuvs + swiftmends while moving and you should be fine. Maybe throw in a fakecast + regrowth if you're going really low hp. When he's got sprint activated, keep rejuv on and backstrafe away from him in bear form (travel form wont get you away from them anyways), and once the sprint fades, just moonfire them and travel form away! A decent resto shouldnt have a problem with rogue 1v1.

Alright thanks all. When i'm at horde base, I can live. Just crossing mid with that team of rogues.
    I appreciate the suggestions

exactly that but if you are alone with no team mates near just use travel and if he pops sprint go bear then as soon as it wears off go back to travel form and distance him then u should be good

There isn't a single resto druid that I can't beat in 1v1 (I am a rogue). Mainly because I am NE. Despite the fact that you moonfire me, I can still shadowmeld, restealth, shadowstep, ambush, and get 5 point eviscerates easy. Even if you root me, I'd probably resist it or I will trinket it (if you are the EFC).

Note that he was talking about getting away from a single rogue, not killing a rogue 1v1.
