New Daily quest in Hillsbrad Foothills or bug...

Unless you are farming for Swiftthistle for Thistle Tea or Swiftness Potion, you may not notice a new daily quest for "plant vs zombie" quest line in Hillsbrad Foothills.

I include two screenshots: The 1st one shows the blue quest above the golbin. The 2nd screenshot is the final boss.

Spoiler alert: do not look at 2nd screenshot if you don't want to see the final boss.

note, while I was there, I saw some ally player standing there. So I guess ally can get this quest too, but not sure.

It is a daily in Stonetalon mountains there is a daily to kill 20 NPCs. It is on the way of doing the quest for the BiS caster necklace.

that is a quest that emulate plants vs zombies game, if you beat it you get the singing sunflower pet, if you don't get it you may do the quest as long as you want, once you beat it it disappear...

No, AFTER the you get the pet, its becomes a Daily Quest like cooking and fishing in the capital city.

It looks someone confrim it is a daily quest as of patch 5.04 on wowhead.com: Tending the Garden - Quest - World of Warcraft

Wasn't prior the patch, because i used to roam that area everyday picking herbs on my F2P huntard when i was not in WSG. I have herbing/ inscribing on him.

I did the quest in Cataclysm. It isn't new.

It was available briefly, but they removed it a few patches later. There are two FoS, although they were probably available even without the daily. I never tested personally though. Anyway, both endless waves and both FoS are attainable. I just tested them out. It bugged out a few times for me though, and simply no zombies would spawn at all. Of course I was keeping one zombie alive to rebuild defences, so that may have had something to do with it. Either way, nice to see it back.

Edit: Hmmm, are the Jewelcrafting dailies available to F2P's? Looks like its a lvl 1 requirement.

Well idk about horde, but on alli there's a daily just outside of goldshire where you can give a guy a glass of water for a tasty apple.

I just checked with a char at 20 that learned JC and no daily. I checked wowhead after and it said you need JC 475 to get the quests.

Repeatable quests are not daily quests.

just wondering... what advantage is there to doing the cooking dailies on a starter account? As far as I can tell the chef's awards don't do anything in lower levels.

since they converted all the cooking rewards to the same currency, i'm HOPING that at some point they'll put the special items on multiple cooking vendors (specifically the Chef's Hat). So, no real reason yet, but I have my fingers crossed. I check the cooking quest pretty frequently and if it doesn't require much time, I'll go ahead and knock it out (most specifically the bread quest in Thunderbluff whenever Darkmoon is in town...that quest takes like 15 seconds).

I tried doing this yesterday however when I relog the zombies don't spawn.

Looks like you can get the hat now, sol. Just go to Dal. You even have the Dal FP so no need to corpse run.

You need to collect 30 energy before zombies spawn, but there's also the macro of accepting the new quest at the same time you abandon the old one. Method is described in the Wowhead comments of the FoS.
