NEW BIS WEAPON: Battle-hardened thrash blade

Was just testing thrash blade heirloom and was surprised how much it proc'd.

I decided to test it and for 70 hits it procd 21 times (around 25%-30% proc chance). Did they buff this proc chance or something?

There are times where you can proc multiple times from 1 hit ( I had it proc 3 times in one of the 70 hits)

This makes it the best off hand for combat and sub rogues, maybe some other classes too too.

I haven't come to a conclusion about whether its better for main hand because it hits lower per hit compared to the mace and the sword (which lowers the damage of all your abilities) I'll go test it when I have time later on but it probably won't be as good.

Weapon will be BIS for fury main hand (since blood thirst hits nothing), not sure about offhand for fury as wild strike does a lot.

TI'ers help me test this

I hope this is helpful.

Yes, it is very good atm for combat, IMO.

yet the proc rate is shit

It would be interesting to see how multi-strike impacts proc generation and strength. Ppm are unlikely to have changed but if a multi-strike generates a thrash proc is it at full damage or ms damage?

you can DW trash blades, if you have to have the 1-80 version and the 1-85 version. with duel EF enchants they do serious damage despite having no stats

I'll go ahead and DW them once I get off work. Will post my results.

Did you test this recently? I swear mine procd way more. I am not sure if my testing method was accurate but I just weld it on mainhand and let it swing for 70 times and count how many times it procd.

Okay, I did some more testing, did 330 hits, this time only 44 procs.
Guess it wasn't as good as i thought, probably got lucky the first time.
Note that when it procs, its the next hit that swings twice, so if the offhand procs and mainhand swings be4 the offhand, the mainhand will swing twice. And when that happens thats like 4.5x the damage of an offhand swing. Also the extra swing applies posisons. All in all, i'm no longer sure if its better

Both Brov and I agree with you. I'm going to be using Thrash OH w/ MH BoA.

It's hard to see what is going on without a log but it seems like 12% additional strikes from multi strike & thrash. That's consistent with the logs from cer. I suspect an offhand thrash proc is doesn't suffer 50% damage reduction off-hand attacks are subject to. That's much easier for blizz to do than to code for a following on proc condition.

These are my logs for Dual wielding double thrash.
