New 49 warlock demo/fire spec

I'm intrigued, I put together a demo spec in 3.1 but never really saw through with it. I can see why this would be really high DPS, with a slight loss of survivability... although playing destro is kinda the same thing. Lack of felpuppy will hurt, but I mostly play against hunters so unless they keep marking me or trapping me, I don't have anything to dispel anyway.



I succeeded with destro with my succy rather than my felpuppy. This was mainly because I always had 2+ people jumping me and I need an extra CC. Looks like conflag is getting the nerfbat, but it still will hit harder than it used to.



This spec might work if your DPS is high enough. You're basically a glorfied mage here, with an Imp pet rather than a water elemental .

My first post, wanted to say hi and give this thread a little bump as I can't find any threads other than this dealing with warlocks in this bracket.



As I researched the bracket Taitaih seemed to be the best geared Twink. I've been farming and got almost everything.



I had questions about gear choice but I'm wiliing to bet the answer is 'they didn't drop'



1) Hands: I managed to get the healing version 29+9 and also got the Dunes -quest- ones if I wanted stam/intl. I assume you went with those because of healing never dropped?



2) Waist: I have like yours but wanted the ones with +Hit. Seeing how they drop from an Arena boss in BRD and after a night of farming, I guess the answer is they never dropped



3) Weapon: I was going for the heirloom PvP ones with Hit and Resil but I already farmed the sword+off hand. Any thoughts?



4) shoulder: I have both heirloom ones, but always opted for the PvP ones.



5) chest: Why this one? My guess is you went for HP over SP?

I'll just go down the list slowly. My gear set that I usually log out in 95% of the time is my General PvP set, and leans towards Stamina and survivability.



1.) I like eagle gloves since they are comparable to the dune ones and healing (I have all three plus the fiery wrath). The gear set that I'm in right now is leaning much more towards Stamina without gimping myself too much in spell damage.



2.) Embarassing story, while I was cleaning out my bags to transfer, I accidentally sold my belt. When XP can be turned off, I will be going back for it.



3.) The heirloom staff is nice, however I went with Arbiters because I can put Brilliant Wizard Oil on it. For arena however, I'd go with the heirloom.



4.) The resil bonus on the pvp ones are minimal, therefore I just went with the tattered dreadmist.



5.) Chan's Imperial Robe is the best chest in terms of survivability. Abjurer's Robe of Shadow's Wrath (+33) is the best for DPS. Grimlok's Tribal Vestments is a nice balance in between but I'd go with one or the other rather than Grimlok's.



The only thing that hasn't dropped for me in my farming is Drakestone of Shadow's Wrath. I was torn about pvping at 49 and getting it so I just leveled out of the bracket. I'll be going back for everything when XP turns off.
