EU+US Network Bypass

Hey guys,

Holidays are coming up again which means schools are closing in a month or 2. I'm an intern at 2 college's in Amsterdam, though, those last 2 months are mostly really boring and I've finished all my assignments for this year which means I'll be sitting in an office for 9 hours straight doing fuck all.

The bad thing here is that the wifi-network has blocked the ports for connecting with i.e. World of Warcraft (it's been like this since the game was created), I've been thinking about setting up a VPN to connect through, but I doubt it will work.

Anyone familiar with bypassing wifi-connections like these?

EDIT: Also, the IT department consists of a bunch of losers and women, the servers are outdated as fuck so I can imagine bypassing it should not be a problem at all and getting caught'd be the last thing I'll be worrying about. I just need to find a way.

I think you try to figure out the IP. Most internet providers leave it as Username "Admin" - Password "Admin", and then figure out its email and password. If that doesn't work i'd have to ask someone than get back to ya again.

Well that's all pretty illegal lol you could just use a free VPN...

I would be careful playing wow on a VPN as they have been known to ban your account if you do. Normally you should be able to unban, but it would be a hassle.

I would suggest setting up a VPS (should be able to bypass the networks blocks). There is a guide on OC showing how to do it, but it is more geared towards the technically inclined. That way you get your own private IP on the server you buy, rather than shared.

I don't think they'll have a clue what I'll be talking about if I'll tell them the ports are blocking my connection when I try to connect with WoW. I hardly ever call people 'losers', but this time I'm right
