Neon's dumb pure f2p questions thread

Neon

Trying pure f2p
hello i decided to make a thread for all of my dumb questions regarding the pure f2p lifestyle

if this is not allowed feel free to delete this thread i just thought it would be better than making a new thread everyday

first question:

where is the mop green vendor at?

found the mop vendor, but this thread will exist if i have more dumb pure f2p questions and @Estradiol i havent played pure f2p since MOP so this is all veery exciting stuff

be better off getting the BfA rares for starter gear methinks chance at a socket on em too
yeah i found i could solo auchenai crypts with that gear but i would die sometimes because too much shit was hitting me in short it would take forever to solo with that gear im better off waiting in the dungeon finder

Like @Estradiol said, go for the ilvl 84 gear from BfA rares as it also has a chance to proc a socket, making some pieces potentially quite powerful / maybe avoiding you a tedious socketed cloak grind -if you really want full BiS that is, I wouldn't really bother with apexis rare farming-.

Use https://autocrit.github.io/All_rares/ to have an easier time with rares (this was done by @Stim the absolute goat).

You'll then still be missing some slots like head, shoulders or neck. Go to the Dragon Isles and get whatever you need/want there and while you're doing this gather as many https://www.wowhead.com/object=376587/expedition-scouts-pack as you can find.
These drop valuable trash that you can sell for a pretty penny. With that money (you'll need prolly a good amount over gold cap so feel free toget an extra bag or two, tbh you'll ofter get around at least 40-50g per bag and up to 250 from my experience) you'll then head to Wrath Dalaran.

https://www.wowhead.com/npc=28693/enchanter-nalthanis is the enchanting trainer, learn it from him, https://www.wowhead.com/npc=32514/vanessa-sellers next to him sells recipes from enchanting level 50 to 75.

You'll want to but gear from the <Legacy Justice Quartermaster> NPCs ( for instance https://www.wowhead.com/npc=31582/magistrix-lambriesse for Horde and https://www.wowhead.com/npc=31580/arcanist-ivrenne for Alliance, both found in their respective faction hubs). The two I mentionned sell cheap blue gear and for the others, check whoever's gloves are the cheaper and but them massively (you'll need to fill/disenchant your bags with gloves at least once), the disenchanting part should get you to level 15 but go all the way to 25, even then you'll have to come back later for more mats.
The blue gear gives https://www.wowhead.com/item=34052/dream-shard and the purple one https://www.wowhead.com/item=34057/abyss-crystal, both of which are useful to both recipes and buying some recipes.
Abyss crystals are the reason Wrath enchanting is so easy to level up. At level15 you can learn https://www.wowhead.com/spell=69412/abyssal-shatter which is a skill that uses one crystal to give you back lesser enchanting mats. We can now abuse this as the prices are -relatively- low.
Then you'll quickly find which enchant suits you best, there is a lot of good/BiS enchants in Wrath enchanting but a personnal favourite, often outclassed but oh so good early game is https://www.wowhead.com/spell=47901/tuskarrs-vitality which, while often inferior to https://www.wowhead.com/item=38837/enchant-boots-minor-speed, is so much easier to get it's worth buying the recipe for.

With full ilvl 84, potential sockets already, decent to great enchants applied, you'll kill it in the dungeons. Yeah Pandaria greens work but the time investment in this little run around Azeroth is oh so worth it, both in ease of play and time gained anyways.

In addition to the BFA rares, it wouldn't hurt to pick up the weekly TW quest and then run five dungeons. Between the dungeon drops, the quest rewards, and being able to buy items for your leftover slots you can have a passable set to start dungeon farming with.

The pandaria green vendors are on par with basic quest reward greens. Once upon a time when farming level 25 zones for high level drops that twinks could still equip was meta, one of the green vendors in a level 25 zone was a good place to get starter gear. That specific vendor's wares now require level 21 and sockets are our priority now, so at the very least blues from dungeons or rares should be your initial target.
