Nelf v Human

Volsci

Legend
After leaning away from the idea for a long time (mainly because I'm not a fan of lowbie rogue PvP as I've played one endgame since s1) I have decided to make a 20 rogue, if nothing else then to be in my rogue twink collection.

I've got more or less everything worked out, but I'm not sure whether or not to roll human or rogue. I've got smelding CC\stuns down rather to a T, and so I don't know if a second AGM is enough of an incentive to take human over nelf, since I feel the temporary immunity of Shadowmeld will be much more of a defensive tool then 12 stamina points.

Also, considering that the preferred rogue weapons in the bracket are the stockade's daggers, the human expertise racial is out of the count. I don't enjoy ach whoring very much so the +10% rep isn't important to me.

Is perception still in the game? I haven't played a human since the spell was an On-Use thing, so I'm not sure.

Forgive all the jabber.
What are your opinions?

Alright, cool, that's the answer that I was wanting to hear.

Thanks guys, looking forward to joining the community.

shadowmeld is far more OP than you can possibly think. even without being a rogue, warrior or druid.
If you are going for rogue, NE is just the only way to go

It isn't more OP then I could possibly think.

I've used it to get drink ticks that won matches on my priest, I've used it to immune hammers, coils, blinds, howls.. and even easier timed thinks like kill shot\paladin hammer killshot wtf thing.

I imagine the uses are far more potent at a lower bracket where damage is so ridiculous.
I just didn't know if the one immunity \ reset per 2m would be passively worth more then 120 constant hp, seeing as HP functions not only as a cushion but as an intimidation factor in the lowbie brackets.

hunter's explosive shot takes atleast 500hp out of 1200 total hp. thats almost 50% so yes its OP and better than other racials for the most part
BE's racial is probably the best for arenas
human's racial is better for servers with no one to challenge you from getting 2 agms (not as rogue, warrior)

you can check out my youtube channel and see some of my rogue and druid videos. (mostly rogue's shadowmeld pwns hard)

also doesn't nelfs start with the most base agi ? if so that + shadowmeld would be better then double agm imo + if you go nelf and you use the boa trinket u gain resilience wich imo is better then the extra agm

and ( ;P ) nelfs get nature resist and faster movement in stealth

with all of this i think this should be a no brainer

Basically as a rogue in this bracket you just want to be glass cannon. 120 stam as a rogue will provide slightly longer survivability but that is somewhat pointless as a rogue at lvl 20. Being able to instantly stealth is incredible here. Not worth it being human, unless you want to be a human rogue fc?????

^^as your post u just said, you hit the nail on the head. Sounds like you have made the right choice.

3% damage reduction from players and a tenth increase to weapon speed is better than 120 health? ROFL

Go human. A big part of this bracket is survivalbility. Losing a vanish isn't going to ruin your game. Sprinting away and restealthing works just as fine

Yeah right sprinting away.....and what about conc shot from hunter? or maybe if ur against a fury warr and he ph u. sprinting away will just waste ur sprint encase u need it to catch up with a running efc or maybe helping fc against attackers Nelf is best race for rogue in this bracket imo but its ur choice on wich race u prefer to play with.

What kind of hunter doesn't use hunter's mark on a rogue and what kind of warrior doesn't use rend on a rogue? ROFL

doesn't matter if they do, timed right you can smeld>shs>ambush before it breaks stealth anyway.

nature resistance increased stealth speed smeld less chance to be hit and more agi vs 120 hp and a 2min trinket.

nelf>human for rogues (imo)

i see that you like to roll on the floor a lot

ot : once u are good with using smeld at the right time it is better then 120 health and then im not speaking of the other improvements you have when u go nelf

edit: and it doesnt require the extra work for a second agm wich can be frustrating on some servers
