Need some help with my computer.

Alright fellas, instead of paying a computer operator to fix my computer I'd like some advice from you guys instead.

Well my delay started like this, I was watching a DvD on my computer then after a while it started to freeze for some reason. Of course I turned off the computer by then and restarted it.

When I restarted the computer it's saying "Reboot and Select proper Boot Device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key"

After that I got my computer to a computer operator and he repaired it but now later it has started to freeze when I play wow or doing anything on my computer.

Then it's exactly the same text about that rebooting part. The comptuer is locking itself when that text is showing up, I can't get it turned on. I got no idea what to do, how am I supposed to repair my computer on my own?

Please lend me some help guys.

Well... My take on it.. when it reads off about a boot device usually has something to do with a harddrive. Insert boot media is probably referring to the fact that your harddrive didn't boot like it was suppose to and not its moving to the next thing inline on the boot list. I.E. your CD drive. Unless your CD drive is listed before it on the list in which case remove any CD/DVD from the drive and try again.. Other wise I recommended opening up the boot menu and trying to boot off the harddrive manually. Go from there and post back to me..

The booting part is a delay yes, I don't have a CD insert when the delay shows up.

But the biggest delay is that the computer is always "freezing" when I play wow or doing anything on it. My computer is a alright I got a 2 quad processor, 4 or 6 GB RAM so I don't think it's my computers fault.

When my computer freezes up I turn it off and then I of course restart it, then the reboot thing is showing up and well it says "Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key". I got no idea what Boot Media is referring to is it a CD or? If I press enter or something in that kind it says exactly the same, it's kinda locking itself, I can't get through that page.

To me sounds like a registry error or your hard drive is failing out. Either that or you have a massive memory leak... Check you memory usage on CPU monitor. Might be why your freezing.

I use Avast as anti-virus protection and it got a sillence mode (gaming mode) so if you turn that it on it diminishes the memoru usage. Avast doesn't require lots of CPU that's why I changed to it instead of Norton anti virus. I don't got many background activitys, very few, my CPU isn't fucked up.

I got no idea mate? So do you think I should take my computer on a repair to an expert or?

well not sure... if you can find out what kind of HDD it is go to this site and download the HDD test for the appropriate brand.

cause like you said I doubts its the CPU mem or MoBO those usually fail completely from my experience. If its not HDD its windows and them im kinda at a loss of help for ya. I would save file to another HDD and start fresh but you have to have extra HDDs. Other wise if you dont feel comfortable doing it take it to an expert... Cause im not one.
