strategies / basic knowledge for a mage
CCing/FCing-
I believe that the only purpose for a 19 mage is for the CC, disagree with me if you must but thats just my opinion. FIRST THING- you can NOT be a keyboard turner and a CC mage...DOES NOT FIT- As harsh as it sounds you will NEVER succeed as a frost mage as a keyboard turner. As a CC mage, you are NOT aiming to top the dmg meter. As a frost mage, you want to stay at a good distance of people and use your Rank 1 frostbolt as much as possible- quite possibly your new best friend
... If there are multiple people grouped up, frost nova them in place. If there is a designated flag carrier , you want to make sure NOBODY gets to him. freeze them, frostbolt them, sheep them do whatever is necessary. you might want to get the glyph that makes your sheep remove any dots because if they have dots and you NEED to sheep them youre just screwed. you also probably want to get the slow fall glyph because you will be using that a LOT to get the hell away from people. i actually suggest watching the video that was posted here a few days ago just because it was very good in showing all the good wall jump spots to give you that extra edge when playing your mage.
i will probably try to finish this small guide later but hopefully this helps you somewhat.
