Need a bit of 29 hunter info.

I am almost done with my 2nd atempt at a level 29 MM hunter and I need a bit of help. My hunter is going to be a glass cannon and I was wondering how to spec my pet so that he would be as much of a glass cannon as I can make him. My pet is a ghost sabor.



I was also wondering what my spell rotation should be. Thanks for taking the time to read my post :)
 
Glass cannon hunters are freaking pointless. Their only use would be taking down another hunter in a 1 v 1. A proven with the "naked hunter" test, 29 hunters already smash every other class, so added DPS is... meh.



Also with the removal of head, shoulder and leg chants, the ability to add extra DPS over a normal twinked hunter is minimal. The only thing you can do, chant wise, is take away the +hit on gloves and add +AP. Which is stupid. You always go with the +15 hit. Gear wise, you can roll with "of Power" gear, although you would be running around with quite a bit less HP than other twinks and somewhat closer to the HP of non-twinks.



tl;dr: your only role will be arenas, and even then, your dps is still going to be outhealed by the enemy.



Spell rotation... are you serious? You have 3 spells. Theres no godam rotation. L2play >.>

9/9 Falcon hat

Racing Grips +15 agi

And if you wanna go all out get Death Speaker Robes + 4 stats

I think if I ever roll a Hunter at 29, I will be going 0/0/20 (Entrapment, Surefooted, LnL, Survivalist, Trap Mastery), it just seems good.



Albeit, I haven't played a hunter at 29 since right before WotLK, my hunter at 80 is 0/15/56 and is a blast to play.



Anyone tried the Surv spec over the "Careful Aim: Stack Intellect" build?



EDIT: I also forgot that Survival has Scatter Shot and Survival Instincts too.
 
Survival is pretty fun, and it is very good 1v1. You won't be as effective in WSG because you lack Aimed Shot and such, but it's still doing just fine and I am sure it will be a different playstyle with better CC :)

not only that, but it has 18 stats



on a hunter it's IMO best to go with gear that is most stat efficient between int/agil/stam(/AP).



if you want good hunter gear, while not being necessarily a full-on glass cannon but still a good AP based build:



9/9 falcon hat

WSG neck

BoA shoulders (not sure which). also can get cloaked shoulderpads of the bandit. (or of attack power if you really want)

parachute cloak +12 agil. if you don't want to get eng, then 5/5 of the falcon or tigerstrike, +3 agil.

raptor hunter tunic +6 stats

barbaric bracers +9 stam

razzeric's +15 hit

AB belt

triprunner dungarees +24 armor

AB boots +7 agil



for rings:

deadman's hand (if you feel like it)

charged gear of the falcon/eagle/monkey (if you feel like it)

5/5 of the falcon

plains ring

i'm sure there are others...



spec: This would be the base spec i'd use. you can put 6 more points into marks or into survival or whatever.



this build should put you somewhat close to max ap/crit as well as give you plenty of health to work with.
 
Another hunter is what we need , good to see someone making a class that no one plays anymore.

Damn nice to see that many replies!!! It's a great thing to be a member of a truely active low level dueling site.



Let me explain my class choice a bit...That way love it or hate it at least we will be on the same page.



There are 2 reasons that I chose my first twink to be a hunter..



1. I am so deep into the noob stage of WoW that I can barely breath and the hunter seem like a fairly simple straight foward class to start with.



2. My internet connection plays a large part here as well. The best connection I can get where I live is through Hughesnet. I pay 140$ a month for the elite package I believe. It downloads at 2 mb and uploads at 300kbs. Which doesn't sound to bad but when you factor in the 1300 ping from a sat connection its not so great. So I need a character that can do alot of damage fast at a long range and I hope the pet will be very helpful here as well.

With my 1/2 a second lag my best chance is to kill whatever I am versing before it gets to me. A local wifi company is suppose to put a tower up in my area by March but untill then this is all I got.
