my thread on the WoW suggestions forum

Just in case it gets deleted.... which wouldn't surprise me seeing how disgustingly arrogant Blizzard is these days.

I am sick and tired of

1) your complete lack of communication about these changes

2) your complete and total failure to understand what this will do to the lower brackets

To elaborate 1):

First you don't let anyone get beyond a certain level in mining/herbing. Then you change it so there is no upper limit. Then you change it back so there is a limit, but if you already had 450 you can keep it. And now you change it yet again so 450 does nothing.

Can you people make up your mind for once and stop flip-flopping around?

And that's not even half of it...the worst part is when there is ZERO communication about ANY of this. It's not in the patch notes, there is no plan, no threads in the forum, nothing. We just have to find out about it on the PTR. What kind of horrible customer service is this? Oh, on the subject of forums, why is every thread about twinking deleted and are people even banned for posting them?! Do you realize that when we email Blizzard with concerns, the canned response is always "please use the forum to post your concerns"? Yet when you do, you get banned?

Seriously... this is the worst customer service I have *ever* seen. You people should be ashamed of yourself. A complete and total failure at customer interaction.

To elaborate 2)

Log into any battleground at 49 and look around. 5 to 1 says that 50% of the players will be hunters or ret paladins. I don't play the other brackets but from what I read on twink websites it's no different there. Do you know what will happen after these stupid PTR changes? That number will be 90%.

Removing enchants and stamina does nothing but hurt other classes. Even now, a rogue, hunter or ret will destroy my cloth twinks in five seconds flat unless I happen to pop my oh-shit button. After the changes I will have no chance at all. I'll die in the duration of HoJ and kidney shot and hunters can just /sleep because their pets alone will rip me apart (nice balance huh?!).

Seriously, do you have to nerf even librams? 100hp to legs and head? What a complete joke.

You know what's funny? You spend all your efforts into "fixing" level 80 pvp, yet it's never been fixed. It's broken. Shamans are and always have been a complete joke at 70 and 80, while ret paladins, DKs and rogues completely dominate. And now you want to "fix" lower level PvP? Let me tell you something.... all you will do is break it. Don't touch it. It's more balanced than your precious lvl 80 PvP will ever be.

Lastly: you think this will fix anything to help players leveling through in battlegrounds? Hah... once again Blizzard fails completely. Assuming I haven't quit WoW yet because of these changes, I will still be wearing best-in-slot instance blues and have 50000 HKs under my belt. Levelers in greens will still be butchered. Ergo, you will fix nothing. And you don't even need to, because those levelers will be gone in a few days anyway as they level up. However you do slap every twink in the face and I think you severely underestimate how many of us there are.

Shame on you for your complete and total arrogance and failure at customer interactions, and the failure to even understand PvP at our levels. Go on and beak it, like you do with everything PvP-wise you touch at 80.

Bah... I don't even want to log in to play now that I've read even librams are being nerfed.

If your post gets deleted, its not because Blizzard is on a raid, just look it over again, half of it is insulting blizzard....thats there offical forum, Look at your post bud. Theres no construtive critizism at all, its just you ranting about the changes.

Absolutely, I think unless you reworded that and took a lot of the sheer ranting at Blizzard out that post will get deleted/locked/w/e and you probably stand a good chance at getting banned :s

The main thing when trying to get your point across is to be as positive as possible and try to represent the playerbase you are defending in a good light.

Also it's the PTR dude, they've done stuff like this before only to change it at the last minute... don't unsubscribe just yet :)

And it's 100% warranted. They are a bunch of elitist losers who have completely lost focus of any and all respect for their customers. Why on earth should I post a nice and subservient message? All they ever do is delete topics on twinking anyway. I spoke my mind and that's how it is.

you're not going to convince many people with that attitude, including me.

speaking your mind doesn't work in this politically correct world. you have to give respect before you can have many people on your side.

Tough luck then. I don't respect a company that changes things all the time without any consistency or even respect for the player base. I could care less what you think of that... if you want to bend over backwards and take it, good for you. I'm glad you like being abused and like seeing zero feedback on anything.

Cherzra, Druiddroid has a point. You generally won't only not see any postive response/changes but you could hurt the cause your fighting for.

What will Blizzard think if all they see are posts like that? They will just think we are a buncha up set kids with no justification over any thing.

Giving construtive feedback isn't bending over and taking it, although sometimes it looks like that.

Look what MLK and Gaundi (no idea how to spell that guys name). They were beaten, threatened, put in jail, had things thrown at them...but they got change to happen, they inspired the masses.

Now look at MalcomX, the black panthers, KKK(mabye a bit extreme in that one). all they really did was premote violence and made people despise them even more.

Let's not compare diplomacy on the WoW forums to famous political figures and their movements kk?

Blizzard has deleted logical, reasonable, well thought-out, well-spoken threads about twinking already. They have also answered more abrasive posts than his (although not on the suggestions forum). There's way more at work than some mod just going 'oh wow, he's mean' and discarding the thread.

There's no cursing, no RL threats, it's readable. It is not against any of their rules.

It all relates, even if it seems like it doesn't.

I suppose it really depends on the mod, some only reply to well though out posts and delete any forum of rant, while on the flip side of this you have mods that look at rants as a forum of why people are upset.

But regardless, the general consensus is postive feedback = better overall chance of looking at the thread instead of discarding it, neh?

nothing is ever 100% (or almost nothing).

PS: I was never comparing it to the wow forums, if you re-read my post it shows I used them as an example to prove my point that postive feedback generally gets more done, while harsher things may get more attention.

well, i'm liking the changes personally, so there's no need for me to do anything except sit back and take it :)

when you're trying to make something happen, though, you're not going to get anything done unless you respect whoever you're talking to. valid points and a positive attitude can carry you much further than just straight up bitching.

it's not like any constructive critisizm has or ever will do us any good.

I like how people who play this game and have at the most 5-10 other players' input know how best to work this game. It's not like Blizzard inc doesn't have an entire staff collating data from (thousands)^thousands of players' opinions/testing results etcetc

You're stuck in the middle of the forest and all you can see are trees.

Blizzard has to take the position where both are clearly visible.

You argue about the "lack of communication about these changes" yet no changes have gone live. They don't even plan to go live for another 3weeks at a minimum (someone said something about April i believe). Give it time to play out. There's literally no sense in getting riled up over changes that have the possibility of not even making it into the game. It's the PTR ffs.

Make notes in the PTR forum and leave it alone.. No one is going to get on and debate the issue with you.. it's just not going to happen that way. Make your case as coherent/concise as you can and let it be.

"failure to understand what this will do to the lower brackets"

/sigh

Blizzard may have "ignored" us for a --long-- time.. but that doesn't mean that they were ignorant of the entire subculture of twinking. To think that Blizzard would suggest these changes and not have taken their impact upon the character base that uses (and abuses) them is just silly.

Currently, a 19twink can get upwards of 2k hp... That is also silly.

And PvP will never be 90% hunter/ret (well.. I can't speak for 19s >_>). Nor is it now 50% in the 49s. It may certainly feel that way to you but it's not.

Bringing some semblance of parity to lower level pvp brackets in order to help "levelers in greens" play a bigger role than 2shot-bait is a good thing. The person who's PvP'ing for a break and maybe a staff/belt that would be a huge upgrade is much more likely to enjoy his gaming experience if he isn't spending 80% of his time chatting up the spirit healer, just the same as you. That is why you're playing the game, yes? To enjoy yourself? To have fun?

Spending the lower levels of the game grinding out honor as you get camped repeatedly is not fun and unlikely to end up "worth it" when you do acquire enough for that upgrade.

How will these changes effect the good players? Not at all.. they'll still be good, just with less HP/AP/SP (which you have to admit was crazy high to begin with).

How will these changes effect the weekend warriors just dropping by to pvp for a couple days before it's back to Feralas to quest some more? It'll give them a shot to actually participate. To stand toe to toe with twinks and die less quickly than they are now ;)

How will these changes effect the bad players? They'll bitch and moan. A lot will quit. A lot will threaten to quit but won't.

This is how it is almost every single big content patch. Someone gets "slighted" and that whole community has a couple people who wish to champion their cause and start petitions to quit and yammer on about this and that. At the end of the day it all gets quiet again as everyone goes back to playing WoW.

These changes will, imo, lead to better matches (no more waiting desperately for hours til you get a premade going!!!), more interesting fights, and tons more interest in low level PvP than there currently is from people who otherwise wouldn't be interested in it.

These are all good things.

This was a long post.

:D
