My thoughts on a dying bracket

I entered a battleground today and was able to stay for the whole game, some times I have to leave due to irl issues or food.. anyway I noticed in this battleground that everyone and I mean everyone has become extremely elitist and will claim nothing as a fault of their own, for example there was two healers in the battleground me and one other, a player dies due to their lack of peeling for the healer, of course we then receive the rage from said player who states how we're simply 'bad' now I don't mind being called bad, in one way or another everyone is bad, this player in particular I will reveal was a rogue, now this rogue lacked the mental capacity to kick their healers while taking down the efc and laying in some damage on the dps that were on me causing them to go defensive. Now back to the dying bracket, attitudes like this elitism, always looking for a fall guy is what is killing the bracket, the forums are almost desolate and when a new thread is created it is a troll thread or a simple ego-boost thread, now I am not blaming the entire destruction of the bracket on individuals such as the TL group, yes they do create a whole lot of drama especially with their tactics to win games, but a lot of players who want to give this bracket a chance, who used to love this bracket back when there where manors, nice people and when you could even hear people owning up to their own mistakes are on their final straws, why would anyone play this bracket? I mean there is the 20-24 bracket 1 level away, not even hard to re-level someone to 20 believe me now there is minimal ego's and people can actually have the basic qualities that humans have in everyday life, now I actually think some of you guys are probably nice people until you sit behind that computer screen, I bet that Vianco and Stubs don't go around in real life stating how they're '#1 u bads sit down' they would most likely get literally sat down. Perhaps just for once people could be a bit more civil towards other people, especially newer players. For one instance there was a new druid in the battleground, had about 1.2k hp willing to learn maybe didn't make the best gear choices but was being trolled having people telling him to leave, now I told him to visit this website but it has got to the point where it can be embarrassing to tell someone about this website, a website which used to be full of useful information which is now just full of flaming threads, ego's and all round bad sportsmanship. I doubt anyone will even listen to this or what not, but that is my views on the currently dying bracket.

I completely agree, we need to welcome the new twinks, and give them pointers on gear. This'll bring the bracket new players, instead of scaring them off because they don't feel welcom

Could our absence on the WoW public forums be hurting us too? We've moved 15-19 exclusively to TwinkInfo. And while I know this site is very helpful, and we should be pointing people in this direction, without a visible public community, we remain in the shadows, out of sight of any new potential.

It would have to be a bracket wide attitude change to get everyone to begin welcoming new comers into the bracket, something the forum managers themselves would be to completely wipe free all of the threads created which aren't currently stickied, most are useless and full of ego's doesn't give out a good impression on the site and the bracket as a whole. Must cost some money to keep this site up and running, money not well spent at all.
SSB64 Yeah, I think someone should be nominated, it would have to be a respectable twink from both EU and US to control the WoW forums to get us heard, I remember in cata a lot of people who noticed me on a twink where surprised they didn't even know twinks existed still, this could still be the same thing. Great idea purj xD

I first heard/saw about 19 twinks on the WoW forums, seeing a thread 10pages long all of 19 twinks is what inspired me to make a 19 i think we need those back so we can see some new faces/more activity...

I start wondering about 19s, its a few people that get me to continue playing, which is really sad. I do agree about maybe posting more on the WoW Forums. I know 39s has a ongoing thread that the community keeps updated (telling people about when they que).

Bracket pops everyday = bracket isnt dying. It just has evolved into something u dont like. Also try paragraphs, that was hard to read.

A simple player crying out for a dying bracket thread. You post has been reported.

reported for what? you make the statement that EVERY key word EVERY new thread is a troll thread or a simple ego-boost thread, which definitely isn't true yet, while every thread on here is a troll/ego boost thread, yours is not, its the one thread shining above all the others

its hypocritical don't you think?

As Ihazbank stated the bracket is not dead/dying since pops are everyday stuff. It is just in a state that many dislike.
Also as Nicozy said there is a huge gap in skill between players. It seems like all players who is not in TL, who are good is dodging and/or not playing.
I think that we should go back to O/D strats because its just much better games lol but unrelated.

If/when skirmishes return it should help boost the bracket. Normal players will meet us in the battlefield and think like we did, when we first saw twinking. If we then support that with threads on the official forums it will boost even more. so yeah

Make guild with your friends and evolve it and get better together and stand up to TL if you think they destroy you in bg :)

I agree with some of the stuff, I've stopped playing some classes at 19 just cause of all the flaming but there is some good nights too and that is why I always keep one or two of my twinks at 19 while I move my other twinks to other brackets. Less eliteism and more good and helping attitudes would make this bracket soooo good again. Learn from the 20-24 attitudes as someone mentioned. :)

I would hardly say the bracket is flourishing I suppose that is your personal opinion, each to their own. Now more reasons why I currently think the bracket is slowly dying is due to the need to create pops through several players swapping to horde or alliance, now you may think that is just helping the bracket become closer, now perhaps the activity is up to a reasonable standard to get pops and arenas but the standard of the competition is terrible, with the attitudes being even worse, a lot of the time several people will dominate due to the classes they will roll etc, now with the attitudes it is just insane the massive change, I think the first bit of change for peoples attitudes was in cata, now this is probably due to a majority of the players playing this game/bracket to be seen as good but noticed that those who shout about their skill on this forum receive praise over those who don't, so they simply started to call others bad, state how they're the best, this attitude is just not needed in any bracket, for a bracket to survive you need that friendly banter perhaps with friendly competition but over all enjoyment and respect of each and everyone else that plays that bracket. Without the respect for each individual the bracket will never expand to the current levels of players, and will eventually crumble under ego's.. After all if there is no bracket left, who is there for you to gloat your rank one too?

Please, stop writing 100 word long sentences and use some paragraphing. It's really hard to read this.

I fear for you if you cannot read a bulk of writing that isn't even big.. I won't use paragraphs but if you want I will indent it, I am sure you know what an indentation is.
=This for example is an indentation, same use as a paragraph, better for English. Note I am not attempting to show off, I am simply trying to get myself in a state where I can write normally using various English techniques as I have three English exams coming up with the first being on the 20th of May.

It appears indentations do not work here using = for my indentation.

Even though i left the bracket in cata, this is pretty much the reason why. People are elitists, even bad people. I don't either mind being called bad, as long as the person calling me bad has something to back it up with.
Anyway, Don't know how long you've been in this bracket, but it's been like this for such an extremely long time, but then again it's also got a lot to do with who you queue in with/to.

Also, i have to agree with Mesik, and it's sad that you got so extremely defensive when he pointed it out. It is really hard to read that, since (atleast personally) i kept reading the same lines a few times, since it's just like one big sentence... And i mean, you wouldn't talk like that in real life, you'd take a few breaks in between...

tldr: I agree with you, but because of the fact you went into defensive mode, I can't help but feel you act a bit like the rogue did, at least sometimes.

I have been in the bracket since tbc but only started reading up on the forums in early wotlk, and perhaps I did go to defensive but if it was even slightly needed to keep the thread on topic then I suppose I am glad I did it, after all it is never about how the player writes it is about what they write.
