mouse over macros. stuff you gotta know

When do you use them? and how do you use them? I've been using mouse over macro fro R1 FB for some time and I love it. Recently I got a new mouse that can scroll freely. During a single scroll flick I can spit out like 3-4 r1 FB and just need to wave my mouse over the field to ice people. I can see this working well for dispels or buffs. what do you guys use mouse overs for?

you mean mouseover macros, not mouse over macros.

please do not correct my grammar, I am well aware that the way i phrased it makes it seem like mouse is greater than macro but I think the jury is still out on if it is actually "mouse over" or" mouseover." "Hover box" or "Hoverbox"; "Roll over" or "Rollover" etc......just because the wow macro syntax is mouseover (compound) doesn't mean it is correct in speech.

"mouse over macros" sounds like you rather use you're mouse than using macro's (witch doesnt make any sense).

yes it does, grammatically speaking, to roll over is a verb, a rollover is a noun. The lottery can never roll over because it cannot physically start rolling away, it can however, be a rollover. You can place your mouse over something, as in I could lift it up and put it above my keyboard. Or i can use the cursor to mouseover something.

BACK ON TOPIC I use mouseovers in much the same way you do, rank 1, poly, dispel. I find them most useful in aneras though where I can simply mouse over a name plate instead of a character where someone can run in between your cursor and the person you are trying to cast on.

Example of one I use on my paladin:

#showtooltip Blessing of Might

/stopcasting

/cast [target=mouseover,exists] Blessing of Might

/cast [target=Ellisha] Blessing of Might

If my mouse is over a target and it can be buffed then it will buff them with BOM

If my mouse isn't over anyone then it casts BOM on me.

Hope that helped.

Ardent mate... are you still playing? have seen you online in awhile?

Sorry for going off topic.

Cleaned up and moved to appropriate area. Please stay on topic and drop the grammar fights. Everyone knows that the OP is talking about if they just read his post.

Every instant cast I have typically has a mouseover. If I am not mousing over anyone, it will simply apply it to my current target. Handy dandy.
