EU+US Most Potential for Success?

Chase

Legend
Haven't played regularly since Cata, considering getting back into it.

Just curious on what everyone's opinion/general consensus is on the classes and specs with the highest potential for success or outplay in BGs in Legion. What are the classes/specs with the highest skillcap, or easy to learn, hard to master?

Druids come to mind, although any spec that can heal seems to be a candidate.

Well things are interesting atm. You came back at a good time because classes have many abilities and mostly everything is at least playable and can have success like cata.

Here is a recent arena Video from @Suntosh

Don't forget to check out the F2P Championship coming up you will really enjoy seeing some old faces and seeing how classes work. Check these two threads out.

You can be good at all classes but great only at the one you enjoy playing the most...regardless of class/spec

As for the ''potential for success''....it will come on its own!

Cheers!

Greatest "Potential for Success": 1. Night Elf Feral Druid
Explanation: Feral Swiftness - +15% Movement Speed
Night Elf Quickness - +2% Movement Speed
Night Elf Elusiveness - +5% Movement Speed while Stealthed (Highest Stealth Speed Possible as F2P)
Travel Form brings you to about ~157%, if you have Swiftness Pots +50% = 207%, noone can catch you.
Even without Swiftness pots, you become a flag capping master/best flag returner.
In AV, you will be the best behind the line tower capper, able to move at 152% speed (I, think, cat form is +30% right?) between towers while all those slow rogues will be moving at a lame base movement speed.

2. Pandaren/or whatever Disc Priest
Explanation: Pandas
- Quaking Palm: Bait Trinkets, into eating a full 8 sec Psychic Scream
- Epicurean: +6/+8 Stam food becomes +12/+16 Stam food, granting from 300-500 extra HP. It's like a free
Eilixir of Fortitude (non-F2P)
Explanation: Disc Priests
One could argue that healers are the #1 most important deciding factor in winning or losing a BG. And they'd be mostly right. Disc Priests are the best healers hands down atm, but even if healer gets 300k+ healing in a BG, they still lose if they're team is bad/or are not playing the objective ( I know from experience). The most effective way to play a healer, imo, is to babysit the team and hope someone actually plays the objective.

Pro Tip: IF YOU PLAY A FERAL YOU WILL NEED SCALING FOOD (Feral/Balance druids can no longer heal). At-level or non-scaled food is absolute garbage in ipvp, and so are bandages. This means farming Darkmoon Daggermaws or buying DMF food. Or finding some other holiday food.

Depends on how you define "success" but yea, druids are always a great choice. They've got a substantial tool kit and in pvp, they're forgiving as hell. An objectively minded druid, even poorly played, will benefit their team. A well played druid is just dangerous.

Find friendly 22 mage. Beg for food. Use mage food and the junk lvl 15 food at the same time for mega super extra regen. profit

Chase? That u? How do i know if this is the same Chase i knew and loved back in cata?

I was relatively quiet back in Cata, spent nearly all of my time on my horde and ally warriors... It's been years so I'm excited at the prospect of being remembered and loved

id say that the class u succeed with is a class that kinda reflects ur personality & ofc depedning on ur playstyle

I guess to better give an understanding of the type of player I am, tanking was my absolute favorite, primarily because I was not allowed to zone out, I was crucial to the group's success. I loved the idea of having a large toolkit to deal with a variety of situations, along with a high mobility, fast paced playstyle.

I know tanking doesn't completely translate into BGs, but what are some specs that have a large toolkit (as far as F2P is concerned) and need smart movement to be played at its highest effectiveness?

Would you say druid has one of the larger/largest toolkits at this level bracket?

I don't think you are the chase I met in cata, but welcome back the bracket is booming.

Disc priest is the answer for your problems. Im not going to go into details as to how I play disc priest, or why it fits what you are looking for, if you really are interested in that stuff you can pm me. If you play like me, you will quickly realize why its the solution.

What were your toons Chase?

Back in Cata warrior was my main, also had a druid, ret pally, rogue, shaman, and hunter.

Although I played warrior the most, I always felt like it was a little too simple for me, and there was more to be desired.
