More DPS as a Mistweaver?

Is there any way to increase DPS as a Mistweaver healer? I chose a MW as I like their style of healing, but I've noticed sometimes in arena, with a partner that can't DPS that well, that fights drag on and on as my partner can't get a kill if the opposition have a heals or off heals. In those instances, I try to switch out to Spirited Crane stance inbetween heals, but even then my MW hits like a floppy overcooked piece of spaghetti

I'm just thinking out loud here, but is there a way to increase DPS as a MW to help out in those situations, and if so, if the DPS increases significantly can Eminence actually be a viable form of healing in this bracket?

Only thing I could think of that may help would be to maybe switch out to a weapon with Ele Force, maybe even a weapon that hits harder or has other abilities? But would Ele Force and other abilities trigger Eminence?

If anyone has any idea's that would be greatly appreciated. I'm just opening this up for ideas as I want to increase my MW's DPS for those fights were my partner is a little lacking in the DPS department

mistweaver dmg is nearly nonexistent at this lvl, there is nothing you can do about it :/

You don't learn the spellpower to attack power passive till level 48 (60?) For mw monks. Which kinda sucks :(

Roll a resto druid and do more damage than your DPS partner

Not a practical way for PVP as far as I know. You can boost dps and Surging Mist with straight Attack Power, though to do this your gear suffers. The BoE greens that are "of Power" do increase damage and Surging, but not by much and you lose a big chunk of primary and secondary stats by equipping them. If you are Alliance, you can use the +5 Attack Power Crystal of Ferocity, but not in arenas. Some of the DMF food will directly boost Attack Power as well (I think), but again you can't use them in arena. :/

If you are really bored, like I was, you can make a MW just for straight fistweaving healing through dungeons. Remember your Riot Stick if you are Alliance. :)

Cheers for the ideas. Never thought of trying an AP set. I may play around with some AP set ups and run some tests and see how Fistweaving compares with normal Mistweaving. Lots of spare time in between bg pops to farm stuff

I'm still going to try and get some hybrid set up where i can flick quickly between while in battle, from pure MW'ing to semi-FW'ing to help with DPS. Unfortunately I've been in too many arena battles that have dragged on, and sometimes switching to FW'ing with the same set up doesn't help all that much, and you get caught out and fall behind on the heals, where as increased DPS would not only help put pressure on the opposition, but would increase heals also on your side.

We'll I'm going to play around a bit with it, and see if there is anything useful that may be of some benefit.

1. Choose partners with more dmg/burst or even better: more cc. Bad comps just dont work.
2. Roll a pandaren instead of draenei. The racial can be used in an offensive and defensive way. Bufffood-Bonuses are doubled. Fall damage is reduced by 50% (great in arathi basin).
3. Elemental Force and haste gear for more EF proccs. Hovel Digger Bands and Vision-Belt for more EF-Proccs. Maybe use DPR, not sure if it's worth it. (Not really on topic but why do you use a spirit-enchant on your chest and not stam/stats? Same with pants. So often oom?)
4. Skill engineering for bombs, trinkets -> 1 additional interrupt. The AP trinket is useful aswell if you queue with a caster. Can give you some more time for doing some damage. You need a sub tho and engi-bombs cant be used in arena.

Some good call's Fudwick.

I have 10 days left on my sub (re-sub'd for a month to make a Huntard). So I have a bit of time to play around on the Monk.

Problem I have is either I end up playing with random's while lining up for arena, or I have only 1 partner I play with as there is only me and one other in the guild. I've only ever been in a small guild, at most it had 4 people, now it's down to 2. and my partner is a little bit......... eerrggghhhh.......... ordinary. Maybe the best word to describe my partner in arena is 'Jack of All Trades, Master on None'...........

But I willl switch out my Chest enchant to Stats, and look at my Legs chant also. When I put the MW together, I wanted to make sure she never ran out of mana, but I haven't had too many mana issues, maybe in some long drawn out arena battles, but usually no problems.

Cheers for these comments.

Choose the undead race if you go horde since it has the "Touch of the Grave" racial, its the race you can do the most damage in average as a MW according to my calculations(by the way i did in fact a MW undead...). Also, build a crit set(horde has much more blue intelligence pieces with crit on them) or an attack power set or maybe an haste set, since these are the only methods to increase damage in a MW monk. If you are alliance go human, since you can use 2 trinkets that can give you more damage or a gnome that can do more engineering devices that can make damage, since gnomes can raise engineering to 240 instead of 225.
