I declare unto you:
BiS depends on playstyle! *thundercrack*

It's a hard question. Is 6 more armor worth the hours of farming? Last time I checked, 6 armor does nothing.

I'm not sure where any debate is. I don't play a warr in this bracket, so I don't know if the list is entirely accurate in terms of BiS. However, BiS is BiS, not "damned near BiS". An item thats a little worse is a substitute item until you can obtain the piece that's BiS. Not everyone is as concerned about something as small as a six armor difference, but it isn't completely BiS until it's obtained.

Well, that's why I included that since I don't have a warr in this bracket that I don't know if his list is actually BiS. I was just stating that BiS is BiS, period. Only time I see it changing is whenever GF'd gear comes into play, or if there is no clearly defined BiS out already.

Edit: My post wasn't directed at you though, Preez. The BoA ring is a new item available for F2P so it's understandable that it's in question.

BiS is not black and white. How much strength is worth how much crit? Is 5 STR better than 7 CRIT? That's why stat weighting is important. Give each stat a number. Like 1 STR is equal to .5 CRIT. Ive trolled Elitist Jerks enough to know that theorycrafting can drive you bonkers.

Arms warriors are getting a nerf, both slam and mortal strike damage are being reduced.

I'm really not going to argue over this. The entire, "BiS is BiS, period" from me was referring to that post that had been deleted. Obviously there are going to be some pieces that are clearly BiS, and others where you're unable to say, without a shadow of a doubt/proof/whatever, which is better. This is someones BiS list, and the deleted post was saying to include an item that had less armor, which made it not BiS. That led to my "BiS is BiS, period" comment.

Ofc stat weights are important, and I never implied otherwise. I also never said that BiS means only one piece of gear as there are often similarly good items with different stat weights. On the same note, there are pieces which are obviously BiS. Which still means that BiS is BiS for those clearly defined pieces. I'm done with this discussion though as my words are being misinterpreted into something I wasn't saying. I poorly word/phrase things sometimes, so it's my own error I suppose.

Creativity and theory-crafted builds can be as devastating as any mathematical BIS build.

Mathematical BIS builds are usually safe & secure, whereas theory-crafted builds are usually more risk/reward.

Personally, I'm a fan of the risk/reward potential of creative designs.

6 armor does not matter. It is still BiS without the extra 6 armor, because anything in the world is measured with certain limited precision.

For example, if two boxers weigh in at 55.5 kilograms, then they have the same weight. Even though one of them might be 55.549, and another one 55.451, and the difference is 98 grams.

Calculate the damage reduction with and without 6 armor. In which decimal place is the difference?

In physics, 0.0000000000000001 is sometimes exactly equal to 0. (quantum effects)

And in mathematics, 0.999999999999(9) is always exactly equal to 1. Basically, 1 and 0.9999(9) are just two different ways to write down the same number.
