As many of you have noticed, I am often seen running around with LFH, Seal of Sylvannas and Crusader on my MH Shadowfang. The day MoP came out I switched to crusader MH sfang. In the more recent weeks, there have been several rogues running around with crusader as well. Why is this? Simply put I have 5 DPS gear sets I use: Survival, Resillience, RvR, DPS with Pyrium Weapon Chain, and Glass Cannon: Full AGI.

My survival gear set lies heavily on resilience and some extra stam putting me at 1900 hp with rum and 440 AP or so. I use this set a lot against a kiting Defense, crossing mid, and when im on D with my flag carrier to completely counter any stealthers they may have coming towards my FC. Another key feature to this set is my Crusader enchant on my mainhand weapon. Sounds ridiculous right? Well let me tell you about weapon enchants and how they work today as opposed to how they used to work before resillience:

Firey had a high proc rate, 6ppm, caused about 40 damage per proc. Today with resilience, its hard to see procs over 23 with fiery, making it useless.

Lifestealing had a lower proc rate, of around 4.72 ppm, stole about 30 hp from the enemy on proc. Today with resilience, it's hard to get a proc over 17, making it useless also.

Agility has not changed, +15 agility, passive enchant.

Crusader used to have 1 ppm, gave +100 str and healed for around 100. Today with slice n dice, crusader's proc rate is much higher.... much, much higher.

Just to clarify, haste does not affect weapon procs:

In a 20 minute game (keep in mind I am not doing damage for 20 straight minutes as if I were to calculate PPMs) but I find myself with a little over 40 procs per game. Haste does affect Shadowbolt and Fireball procs, however not weapon enchants. Slice N Dice affects weapon procs, such as ....

It doesn't make sense to make an enchant that gives a 15 second buff have a higher ppm

What?

Also, games are 20 minutes now, Mocha. Not sure if you've noticed, because you've written 25 minutes quite a few times in your blog.

I meant that in a way unrelated to the whole survival thing, but an enchant that gives 100 strength 100% of the time (4 ppm) wouldn't make much sense, as opposed to 2 ppm which is still high (+50 str)

If it was any lower, it wouldn't be worth using over 15 agi (20 agi for sub rogues, which is 40 AP) as a rogue, would it?

Edit: random browsing pictures and found this lovely picture figured I'd post it in the first thread I saw

All these rogues trying to copy a BiS set are so lost, thank god we have Mocha to guide us to glory. :)

Fiery has a PPM of 8. Lifestealing has a PPM of 6.

Crusader has a PPM of 2.
There's been dispute about lifestealing for a while but all others have been very solidly said to be as follows

PPM Rates:

not sure where you're getting your calculations, but the ones I gave are the ones that have been tested and nearly unanimously understood since the enchants were introduced.

It seems that Fiery indeed does have a PPM of 6. My mistake.

But it isn't unanimously agreed that Crusader has a PPM of 1. A quick search will show that there are different figures for it.

I remembe my 10 pal prot constantly proccing Crusader in duels / solo RFC runs during Cata. My haste is around 40% unbuff and 112% with lifeblood. Was literally constantly under proc effect. I would say around 1 proc every 10-15s max. The change came during Cataclysm. Before that it was much much lower.

I am having trouble figuring out what Crusader has to do with a survival set.
