Also, never suggest bows or guns for BiS gear, those are only useful for maxing stats lile a max HP or AP set.

I just mentioned if u prefer to use a slow weapon imo fast thrown weapon is best option

hey, could u see if there is any things that could be added to this twink? and i noticed u put a few quest items in there. the ellos band quest chain would be pretty hard for an up and coming twink to do. Zuol @ Uldaman - Game - World of Warcraft

it's not. even if you have terrible gear, you can always get someone to help you with it

Many twinks start out solo and don't get help. If anything, on pvp servers they may just get opposition. Though besides that point, any help with my twink

there are people than just you on the server. ask someone nicely for help

But some of those "nice" people are ninjas, on my server 2 guilds were major ninjas. Raid loot, gems and nodes/mobs. But then, there are some nice people, like.... I'm drawing a blank, sorry. So say I'm going for agm, I get some guards from /2 and then one 1 shots me and takes the loot. It's a ninja, but not technically, so blizz can do nothing

then you have major dicks on your server. keep trying. no one gets it every time

You should know this by now, the cast time has NOTHING to do with weapon speed. ALL thrown have a cast time of .5 sec with the weapon speed being the CD, ALL bows/guns/xbows have a 1.5 sec cast time withe the weapon speed being the CD. thrown is ALWAYS BiS, even if it has no stats because of how useful the faster cast time is. This applies to warriors and rogues, hunters are a little different.

edit: Some more contructive criticism, I like how you put grandfathered gear at the end but I think that it should be removed from your initial gear list. Include non BoA options that are not grandfathered, such as [item]Armor of the Fang[/item] for chest slot. A quick explaination of the fang set bonus might be good as well since most people with no BoAs will be using [item]Armor of the Fang[/item] they might as well get the set bonus through [item]Leggings of the Fang[/item] and [item]Footpads of the Fang[/item].

Great updated guide... super useful and informative. One question I have however is that for twinks going for BiS gear, faction changes will be required, correct?

If so, I wonder if there could be a way to indicate BiS gear more clearly given each faction... reason being that if I want to roll a new Horde troll rogue, it would actually make more sense (time and $) to first roll an Alliance rogue that I would eventually faction change to Horde, rather than start Horde, pay to change to Alliance, and then back to Horde once all BiS Alliance gear was acquired... aka, divide a BiS gear guide up so that it could identify gear that 1) is Horde only; then 2) is Alliance only; and then finally is 3) BoA.

Perhaps in this fashion, questions re: Horde vs Alliance availability of items would be answered up front, along with those 'what's BiS, but please no BoA' questions. Just a thought... thanks for the great guide!

yea bigbad the only items really useful for ally b4 xfer to horde is [item]ello's band[/item][item]keeshan's dagger[/item] if needed will replace when u go horde with[item]impish blade[/item] or [item]stillwater's dagger[/item] rest of items useful are really horde only BUT u can get 2 i said 2 [item]signet of argas[/item] because u can do the quest 1 time on each faction

Cool, thanks for clearing that up. Although I used the example of transferring to Horde, I think such a guide that spells out gear per faction (and written with the idea of acquiring all side-specific gear prior to a faction change) would be waaay more useful for those wanting to play Ally twinks given the disparity found in the good gear available between the two sides. Regardless, thanks for the work put into this guide -- much appreciated!

Looks good.
