Might come to 85s - Few Questions!

Hello guys, im currently a 70 Boomy Twink (in my sig if you'd like to see) and I've been thinking about coming to 85s as 70s are getting very boring and seem to be dying a bit..

So here is a few questions I have to ask :
  • Are 85s active? (Arenas / Bgs)
  • Are boomkins good at 85?
  • Which profs should i be running? (Currently Eng/JC)
  • Is it different than 70s?
  • What seems to be the most common comps in 2s currently?
  • Am i sexy?
 
Are 85s active? (Arenas / Bgs) ye but you get to see alot of bots in bg's

Which profs should i be running? (Currently Eng/JC) alch/bs for anything but arena.. in arena bis is jc/bs
Is it different than 70s? not that mutch.. just not so many eletist's around
What seems to be the most common comps in 2s currently? same as 70´s
Am i sexy? how wuld i know? jk i wuld hump anything with a pulse.

Strongest opponents i met were combat rogues, BM hunters and ret's. Rest is meh.
Arena qeue at 2k rating is around 2-5 minutes.
BG qeue's are around 15 minutes - 30 min (exp off)
 
when it comes to BGs 85-89 bracket was strong before the patch, and still after, the new free CATA expac being included into basic WOW will make the bracket even larger.

my friends don't do arena, so they stopped at 86 to get full CATA enchancement values. in a BG a 86 wearing like a 450 i-level blue outscales the MOP pre-90 epics a 87-89 will be wearing

Dinging 85 and equipping already collected BiS (gemmed/enchanted) gear on my 85 priest was a huge letdown. What is up with healing at 85? I feel completely useless in bgs. Spamhealing/shielding un-interrupted someone getting attacked by one player and I can't get their hp up.
Fully buffed in a bg my PW:S absorbs for 30k (note this is in pretty much BiS MoP gear), and I have 360k hp. That's absolutely nothing. I can barely stay alive against one bad dps, and note this is against non-twinks mostly. Against a MoP geared dps there is no point even trying to stay alive.
I know my mastery has gone down (a bit) and battle fatigue up, but I really didn't think it would be this bad. Is it like this for other healers as well?
For now I will just play shadow, at least I can feel a bit less useless then.
(I wasn't expecting godmode like on 80/82, but this just feels retarded. Almost like my character is bugged =P)

battle fatigue and the huge stam pools and monstrous dmg of the 85 bracket is what made you feel this way..
if you have ever tryed out 85 arena you wuld know that this is the reason..

patch 5.4 brougth the 5th healing nerf in the expansion, and there has been a reduction to absorption in PVP. disco priests are not what they were prior to 5.4 and has nothing to do with hitting level 85. it does seem that healing specs are specificly hit with these nerfs while hybrids slip thru the cracks.

imo, disco's and h-pal's were affected /hit the hardest by this patch

u may try shadow spec, they nerfed the shadow form 15% damage reduc, but gave them 15% more armor, which is boosted again with inner fire buff. in a BG seems like nothing has changed there. bubbles seem stronger for the spec compared to disco. use the glyph that lets you heal yourself and others in shadow form.
