Why - Every day, I get many questions such as "Dude, why the hell would you put so much time and effort into something that gets totally wrecked in BG?" The truth is, its fun... but on a more serious note. I have been around since the 2.1 patch, oh yes... Those good old days where level ten twinking was possible, where even a level 19 could reach 70% dodge, while a level ten could still break 100% even after nerfs, hunter twinks could fire two shots a second with an amazing crit chance totally destorying most mellee and some ranged.
Now comes the 2.2 - 2.3 patch, no biggy, just lose defense rating gear and enchants, dropping my dodge down to roughly 89% without the fishing boots or 2 AGMS, back then, a Arena Grand Master would give 2% dodge (12 dodge rating ftw?). I was still pretty "popular" if you would call it that... People I BG'd with a lot would give me /cheer's and /high5, while I randomly carried the flag while back striving across the field, doding almost every swing of rogues and warrior's weapons... Shortly after that, 2.4 is a blur because, I took a long break from the 2.4 patch until around the 2.9 patch... The exact dates are kinda unknown to me at this time... I know when I logged on my dodge twink I was heart broken, /sighed and thought about leveling, but didn't... 67% dodge... 89% to 67%... /sob... My hunter twink still did great in BG but my rogue, was put on hold... Until around the 3.0 - 3.1 patch, where I heard about 450 professions... Oh, did I take advantage of this... Maxxed out skinning and mining to give my dodge rogue 112% crit and 1600 hp... Yup, those were the good old days... I've long since then trashed my dodge rogue...
Now that 3.2 has come around, I hope to start ignite a new wave of level ten twinking... So what if the tables have turned on the level ten twinks? Does it really even matter? A long time ago, when I was collecting my second AGM for my dodge rogue, I was told this by a warrior I hired, then wrecked me. "Dude, your taking this game really seriously...". That was around the 2.4 patch, after I heard that, I collected my second AGM and retired until the 2.9 patch...
Me today, during the 3.1 patch I learned about exploiting terrain, this helped me a lot for flag running, especially if I needed a really quick escape from either side of the map. I am here on twinkinfo to help people with questions about level ten twinking, and pre 19 twinking in general... I'd have to say that AIT kinda inspired me to roll my first 3.1 / 3.2 dodge rogue... All n all, I'm old, but I'm not as old as some people that have been playing this game ^_^... I even started a level ten (actually, its pretty much any twinks under level 12), on frostmourne - US, just find the oceanic tab.
