So I'm 99% sure, after 100 separate kills (once a day per rare) on Medallion mobs and not getting a single Medallion, that something might have been stealth nerfed somewhere, and we can't actually get them. Has any pure f2ps actually gotten one?

Also, if you're a low level paid twink / vet, have you gotten a medallion in patch 6.2.4 that doesn't involve mailbox / AH?

P.S. Here's part of the reply I got from a GM (the other part is a very condescending "here is how you report a bug from within the game" when I didn't even know if this is a bug) when I ticketed the issue asking them if there are reasons other than RNG that's causing Medallion to not drop for me since it's supposedly 1/3 droprate on WoWhead, and frankly, 0/100 is a rather nasty streak for a 1/3 droprate item:

I can absolutely guarantee the drop rate is NOT 33% like Wowhead states. I farmed Revered-Exalted on 5 Level 100's and killed each of the 4 Rares so many times I lost count and can verify the drop rate is more likely between 5-8%. This was all within a few months of Tanaan going Live so was very early on. I've killed those Rares a few dozen times in the past month or so and would say the drop rate is still bad, but can't prove anything.

Yes, I have gotten the Medallion on my 10's since 6.2.4 (rolling need as Group Loot with one of my 100's), but again the drop rate isn't even close to 33%.

As for 0/100 that's either the worst luck ever (like my luck with super Rare Mounts hehe) or there is a hidden mechanic that doesn't allow pure F2P's to "see" the Medallion as loot, similar to how non-Enchanters don't see Enchanting specific BoP Recipes if Blizz has that setup.

This is news to me, as it implies that Medallion isn't actually personal loot but group loot, as per the pandaland insignias. I will have to investigate this further. Until otherwise proven, I highly doubt that items that can be obtained by level 10s are locked for level 20s, f2p or not.
 
Don't know if I've ever got one of those on a 100. Maybe I did. But I only remember getting them from garrison.
 
What's the advantage of paying a full account to use a 100 to farm things for your f2p twink in your trial account...?

They don't. They just get nice people like me to kill stuff for them.
 
I did not view that GM response as condescending at all. You just did not get the response that you were hoping to get.

It's only that little bit Aisling said was condescending, and it was a bit, because they could easily find how to report a bug had they chosen to do so, instead they were trying to find if it was a bug or not.

It is probably not in their job description to take "bug reports". They are there for customer service purposes only. And they answered the customer's question. Albeit the customer did not get the answer they liked, the question was answered.
Isn't there a bug report form any way?
