mechagon scaled to 30 even unphased two mounts should be farmable at 20

recently in Voldun i used players 20 and lower to farm a mount, most spots required no killing, however in some areas to check for the elusive quickhoof i used level 20 hunters, Voldun mobs were level 30 which my hunters were able to kill if i got aggro'd and get loot.

If mechagon is now mob scaled starting at 30 even without phasing this should make two mounts farmable

at the end of BFA during the SL prepatch/squish i took level 50+ players and used riding turtle to get there and get tags to get more daily chances at the above mounts. i did have two 60's with the area unlocked but wanted more chances

during SL i got a 20 to mechagon to see what might be doable or loopholes, the only thing i could do was catch some fish and get the daily quest fish that say req level-1 which it would not let me do the quest. only thing unique i discovered was having the https://www.wowhead.com/item=167654/bottom-feeding-stinkfish in your bags would apply a yellowish/green pond scum glow to my player at random

About that fish, on my character it consistently give a 5 minutes debuff giving you a green tint only when logging in the character (and also when you get the fish the first time).
I never tried if moving it from bank to bags would trigger that effect. But i love it, give a bunch of mounts a really unique variation, but only for 5 minutes ^^
 
I'm at 57 Rustfeather and 41 Arachnoid Harvester kills on my F2P acc so far.

There is of course a chance it can't drop for Free Trials, just like Great Sea Ray.

So I will report back when they drop or when I reach 1000 kills on both, which should confirm they can't drop :PepeComfy:

also, the 2nd mounts you linked is wrong, it's Rusty Mechanocrawler

Yes, you do get the blue box at the end of event and 150 rep, you cannot open the box due to lvl req tho.

Once you are at the rig you need to relog for the event to show up on your F2P (Credit to Thraucpale for telling me this, the rep has prob always been possible, just like Ve'nari)


There are also some pets that can drop from the rares, the vault box rare can't be looted tho cuz you need to be lvl 30 to loot the pile but rest should be ok

A mini F2P Guide to Mechagon Island

There are two mounts, five pets, one toy, and one reputation that we can currently get from Mechagon Island. The Island does scale to level 30 so you will need help from a friend or just wait for a random player to kill a rare that you are camping.

Comment: This rare requires help from a high level friend or alt and can't be activated on your level 20. For the rare to spawn, the Drill Rig construction project must be active, which is not active every day. To spawn the rare someone needs to complete the Drill Rig DR-CC88 project. At level 20 you won't be able to see if the project is up. Once someone has the project the cave will open up for five minutes, in which the rare is located. After five minutes everyone gets thrown out of the cave again. A message saying "Drill Rig DR-CC88 has been activated! It will finish excavating in 1 minute." is sent out in chat so it's easy to know when someone has started the Drill Rig DR-CC88 project.

Reputation
The best way to obtain Rustbolt Resistance reputation is by completing the Reclamation Rig event. This event has around a one hour respawn time and gives 150 rep when completed. You will know that the event is up when the Reclamation Rig is yellow and transparent (see picture below).
Activating the event requires help from a high level friend or alt and it can't be activated on your level 20. To activate the Reclamation Rig they need to pay 1000x Spare Parts and 4x Energy Cells. Once activated all you need to do is protect the Reclamation Rig from waves of mobs. this takes around 3-4 minutes.

If the event does not pop up on your level 20, relog while near the Reclamation Rig and it should pop up.

the Cyclotronic Blast insert to the mechagon punchcard used to be situationally useful for magetower, might wanna check how it's scaling.
 
i took a fresh 20 that never been there before, +28 in fishing gear/buffs, did 1 to 175 in BFA fishing behind the rec rig and did not catch a stinkfish or any quest fish. the rec rig event was up in donor mode, a 46 showed was contributing, but appeared to give up and leave.
