Meat 1

Nope

You have to sacrifice about 100 AP and 5% resil to achieve it (along with t6 2 piece bonus), but it might be worthwhile, not sure.

I'd like to see a chardev of that. 5% resil and 100 AP for such an absurd amount of PvP Power is nothing. And i'm making a hunter so :D

Alrighty here we go.
chardev 10 - Mist of Pandaria - BETA (closest I could get, missing Frosthide Armor kit to legs, note that the helm enchant is no longer availablle. I corrected a gemming mistake, but did not replace your current trinket with the superior heirloom that gives 40 additional resilience.

Key Stats
15.2k HP 34.4k effective HP
1623 AP
29.58% Crit
55.76% Resil
24.5%~ PvP Power

chardev 10 - Mist of Pandaria - BETA

12.6k HP 26.9k effective HP
1521 Attack Power
26.68% Crit
53.18 resil
40.4% PvP Power (has 200 more PvP Power than Meat build)

The biggest issue is the loss of 8k effective HP. That's huge. You're basically working with 78% of Meat's health. The big thing is though that you're also working with 15% more PvP Power.

Let's say these two attack each other, assuming equal skill.

PvP Power has 93.7% of Meat's AP and 90.2% of Meat's Crit. For napkin math we'll treat PvP Power as doing 92% of Meat's DPS.

So let's say Meat does 4k DPS (before PvP Power). PvP Power will then do 3680 DPS.

Meat does a net 2340 DPS (factoring in PvP Power and resil) allowing him to kill PvP Power in 5.39 seconds.
PvP Power does a net 2270 DPS (factoring in PvP Power and resil) allowing him to kill Meat in 6.70 seconds.

Meat does 4980 DPS against players before resil.
PvP Power does 5170 DPS against players before resil.

I'll be trying out the PvP Power build probably, but I doubt it will be much more effective than a balanced build.

You remind me of glance :33

will test out that 40% set as surv/mm sometime maybe (if I decide to drop engi)

Please note the following numbers are factored Golden Bow of Quel'thalas, self buffs only, before resil and armor. Average damage is simply ability damage * (1+crit). Explosive shot is all 3 ticks. Let me know if the ES and AS numbers are within 5% MoE of what you do Meat.

Here is another chardev with maximum PvP Power (616, Jewelcrafting and Blacksmithing). You can reach 656 using Barrel Bladed Longrifle, but it doesn't make up for that weapon's dismal damage.

In terms of damage output against opposing players, it appears that PvP Power is vastly superior to every other stat. To the point that sacrificing agility, attack power, and crit for lower ilevel items that have more sockets will yield a damage gain against players. The debate is then how much effective health is necessary to remain alive long enough to deal damage.

chardev 10 - Mist of Pandaria - BETA -> PvP Power 2

Damage Analysis of each profile using Golden Bow of Quel'thalas, Thor'idal the Star's Fury, and Barrel Bladed Longrifle.

For those not interested in analyzing it, two things are of note: 1) Base weapon damage increases in value as PvP Power increases 2) PvP Power is superior to all other offensive stats.

The stat weights I've come up with for damage output:
PvP Power = 4
Crit = 2
Agility = 1.9
Attack Power = .9
Hit should be capped.
Ignoring haste and expertise.

I was mainly doing this for my own personal use and I'm done with it. I'll save the spreadsheet I used if anyone wants a copy of it. If you've used Excel before it should be simple to use.
