mass bloggers added to this site

As someone who's twinked off and on for years now I think it's a bit silly to assume how much someone or someone doesn't know. Give him a chance to share what he's learned and if you find his knowledge is too basic for you don't read his posts. If anything having bloggers with various degrees of experience might actually provide the variety the site needs. Experience players often forget about some basic things or might not see the need to write certain types of guides because they just consider some stuff common knowledge.

Only time I played in the 29s was a long time ago with a mage back before they nerfed arcane missles traveling until done casting, and you'd have to spec for evocation if you wanted that. Just because I played then doesn't mean I have any sort of knowledge of the bracket now. I'd honestly prefer someone to post in that bracket that is currently playing that then just someone who happened to play it a long time ago.

Anyway, I hope my quick rant makes some sense. Pretty much I say give people the benefit of the doubt before jumping down their throats saying they suck or are noobs.

^^

Perfectly worded. Thanks.

the amount of HKs someone has on their twink says almost nothing about them.

there was this one 19 rogue on reckoning, Saytun, who had over 150000 HKs. everytime i saw him he would use a speed pot and sprint on me (or so it seemed) and yet he was one of the easiest people to deal with. all he did was farm mid all game and really wasn't very skilled.

then you have players that have hardly 5000 HKs on their twinks, and they are very very good players. it's probably because they have lots of experience on mains or other twinks, or maybe they just caught on easily.

experience may help you, but once you learn the basic fundamentals of working the camera, having good intentions, and using keybinds, it's easy to be very good at any class no matter your HKs.

not to mention, winning WSG doesn't require HKs.

HKs can count for something at times, I have 3 toons with 50k, I play all 3 very well but that always isn't the case.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Give the new bloggers a chance, when I first became a mod we had a total of 2 stickies...I made around 15 stickys, people shouted it was a bad thing and acted like I all I did was sticky my posts.. it ended up helping the site and getting people to know each other.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We do have people that have been playing since orginal wow, people that have been twinking since before it was called twinking, im one of those people, we have many people like that.

This site is dedicated to twinks, no where does it say hard core, new, pro, etc....we do our best to help ALL forms and aspects of twinking.

I'm semi-appalled at this post. Tbh, 100k kills shows ME that they're a farmer. That's what it tells me unless I know the person. I've played since pre-BC as well.

as I said above, Laycee and Sidni have over 100k kills each, she is far from a farmer :)

As for the personal aspect... Hmmm. I was starting to think that the personal aspect was something many didn't like.

the main thing I like/liked about your site was the fact that when you post something, i can usually take it at face value bc you have been twinking for a very long time. you don't post what you think others will like, you just post what you feel and that's why i really like visiting here. so don't let these new bloggers cut down on your personal posting as much!

TL;DR

I have mad skillz

But in regards to the OP, now that we have ~9 bloggers, we should try to coordinate blog posts so that the same (or similiar) information shouldn't be given twice.

Personally I am running by all my future blog posts with the staff before posting to make sure

a) that more than myself find it interesting

b) if I'm missing any information that they can add to before posting

c) grammar and other fun stuff

thanks for this response. i look forward to some good postings from you rip!

I see nothing wrong with some new faces. Personally I though Rip was already a Mod/Blogger or w/e, but up until now he was just a normal member.

I don't think your /playtime is of any importance, you can be a year into twinking or been twinking since WSG first came out, you both go to the same sources for info and you both have to figure out the best spec/gear list through trial and error. I've read articles posted by veteran players and said "WTF?!" and I have read posts by new players and said "You are a God!" (and vice-versa)

I look forward to what everyone has to say, for better or worse.
