Well lets say you make a feral for example then get the wep from murloc hunting (16 agi/13 stam) and then soothsaying's vest(chest) which is 8 agi/13 stam and 16 vers. That's a pretty massive edge to build your new twink aroundFWIW the weapon is really gonna be the only upgrade that makes a substantial difference.
I got an epic helm, shoulders and cloak yesterday and didn't even bother using the cloak, the shoulders were a lateral upgrade and the helm got me +1 Stam.
Overall, I netted +1 int, +1 stam, +2 vers and -4 haste. So epic aren't gonna make or break. Granted alot of it has to do with getting the right suffixes but you can't choose that.
A weapon though would have gotten me +4 int, +1 stam and whatever secondaries. Not to mention weapon DMG. So those are gonna be prime.
If you got a weapon, consider yourself lucky and just let the rest of the gear ride. There's plenty of quests out there, you'll get more procs.

I mean yeah getting two epics in a row is very unlikely, but I probably won't stop making new chars til I have a epic weapon + at least rare chest. Shouldent be impossibleYes but that's not plannable. You can’t realistically “build around” getting two specific epic procs because chances are so low that it’s just not worth even considering.
What CAN happen though, is you roll toons until you get that epic weapon and then farm the rare on bloodmyst until you get an epic leather chest proc. THAT won’t be considerably worse than what you’re dreaming of.
What I’m getting at is that you’re gonna have to really consider what can be farmed via rares versus one off quest rewards and picking that ONE quest reward you really want. Which will usually be a weapon.
