Main Or Twink?

Hello, I have been wanting to ask this for quiet a while now. Dont know if it have been asked before, but here it goes.



If you for example got 1k gold on your char, and this very awesome plate healing item for your main is on AH wich costs exactly 1kg. The exact one you needed to maximise your healing gear, but at the same time shadowfang was on ah aswell on for 1kg, wich was the last piece to make your rogue twink perfect.



Now here's the question. Would you prior your main above your twink, or prior your twink above your main?

I'd buy the shadowfang for 1k and sell it for 5k, then buy the helm and wait for another shadowfang!!!



But actually, Iunno...kinda hard to say - depends on how much you play your twink vs main



if it was ME, i wouldve bought the SF and resold it then bought my helm and waited for another SF, or done without it xD but...

twink gear is pretty set in the choices you have, while mains have so many choices its crazy to even think about.



any crafted or boe item has a equal or better counterpart either from raids or badges.

My 39 twink IS my main on its server so id buy the twink item for my main

Only my twinks are, i never play on my high lvl's

i'm usually just selling off farming residue (cloths & enchanting mats) on the AH. usually don't buy gear for the main, just recipes

You can always find lvl 80 BoE epics on the AH but items like SF arent there everyday so I'd take the SF without a doubt. Anyways, I only use my main for gold/boa.

I don t have a main, they fucking suck, and after you maximized them that stupid blizz makes an expansion and you can throw your weapons to the fucking recycle bin

anyway, the question is kinda stupid

first of all shadowfang it s a very rare item and second 1000 g is not too much

the question can be something like this :

you have 200 g , what do you do, buy a scope for your main or by a second stamina gear for your twink?

i would buy the shadowfang, that price is nice. Then i would farm more gold on my main and buy the next upgrade for it. Aslo u would see the upgrade for your 80 more often as there is a larger community doing that content where it drops.

if its BiS vs BiS then i'd have to depend upon the amount of gold it is i.e. 12k or 1k, because of difficulty to farm. More than likely i would get the twink item because rarity and the level 80 gear will more than likely drop before the twink item does.

I don't buy gear for my main, and I even put much more time into my main than my twink. The choices to get gear from dungeons and raids means it's not worth it to buy gear. So even though I don't prioritise my twinks that much I would definitely buy the item for my twink.
