I wanted to make a new 24 and I'm thinking a mage or a warlock atm, but I haven't gone up against many of them before. Can anyone tell me if they're very viable/good/bad etc and which specs are best for highest damage output? Thanks

I strongly suggest you armory Flummaz/Flummez. He's the best arcane mage in 24s.

P2P Destro Lock (Maybe Demo) and P2P Frost/Arcane POSSIBLY Fire mage,

Are both insanely overpowered at 24, you'll have fun. *if you like playing 24s.
Just gear it properly.

For Lock, highest damage = Destruction,
For Mage, highest damage is Arcane if you can play it right, highest burst would be Frost.

With the lack of heals and support in this bracket, you'll likely be driven mad playing a destro lock in many games.

Destro's damage is up there amongst the best. People drop like flies, then again so will you. Grab some decent support and lock is incredibly viable/fun to play.

Really you could choose anything and do fine with support. Most solo q'ers choose rogues and hunters because they are FOTM as usual.
