Mage, Priest, Warlock

What is the most viable specs for these options.
According to my knowledge Arcane isn't all that compared to the other Mage specs.
And I don't like to be a pure heals spec so I would cross off holy for my Priest spec. I herd Disc has decent damage.
Also, for a Warlock I herd Demo was pretty legit.
Please let me know your guys/girls thoughts. I would really like to know. Advice would be nice as well :) ty!

Frost, Disc and Destro best imo. Some other specs are viable if played correctly, some specs just trash.

What Troll said, Disc is best for healing while being able to pull off some good dmg. Holy is really only viable if you already have a disc priest. Of course shadow is best for dps.

As for mages, frost is just overall the best. Arcane mages can pull of some funny stunts with nova 4x Barrage with 4 stacks etc., but it requires a lot of setup and isn't too viable. Fire is fun but hard to play, and easy to counter.

As for locks I don't know much about demo, but destro has some incredible burst and affliction is somewhat decent for multidotting and keeping up pressure on a whole team. + I heard Hand of Gul'Dan is recieving a major buff in WoD

Arcane is best it just requires a much higher skill cap

hard to find in this bracket i know they are nonexistant

What specs are trash iyo?
I just completed my BiS enh shaman and dont get me wrong. I top almost every bg I go in with damage and kills and heals somtimes. But I just would feel more effective as ele. So I just dont wanna make the same mistake. I will still be playing him daily. But im just looking to make a new alt. I am plaining on making all of these. Just I just wanna know what specs are best and viable and which specs are trash. And I do classify enh as viable just an fyi. I like to be different but newto casting classes. I know im going to make my priest disc but still dont know about the other two

You should have options in this bracket so you don't get bored. Disc at 20-24 , Spriest at 24 only, frost mages 20-24 are viable and destro locks as well.

arcane mages are viable also but I couldn't tell you too much about.

Always play what you enjoy the most, I usually never play the classes or specs that is considered to be the best. I'm playing ret paladin and mistweaver monk right now. Prot pala > Ret pala but the way you play the ret and abuse the heals makes it really strong and fun. Prot is prob the way to go atm but that doesn't stop me from playing the next best thing, you can still be a gamebreaking player. Every spec got their ups and downs. When I play my MW enchance shaman usually have a easier time on beating me than the ele. Since u have played one u could prob figure out why.

It's just not what's best, it's what u make it. All classes and specs are viable, some are just better than others on one thing and worse in another. Keep it simple, play what u like and don't roll the streamroll trap.

all it really takes is someone actually good at arcane to be seen by the bracket

shadow is just as viable as disc, they are different roles.

Did we talk about getting seen, or what was most viable? Besides that I did not implement shadow as you would get /spit on and called a sprick.

arcane is viable, just the skill level of this bracket gives it the illusion that it isnt

just because shadow priests are overpowered and viewed as possibly scummy doesn't mean they aren't viable

that arcane is viable isnt really a secret. biggest problem with it is that it has a build up to burst and frost doesnt.

anyone who is good at arcane will know that its 2 times easier to get stacks at 24 than say 19 with arcane missiles. arcane puts out more burst compared to frost and you can burst way more often compared to frost where a lot of ur burst relies on your pet

That might be true, its very possible that the mages thats played in the premades ive been a part of simply arent efficient enough with arcane to fully utilize its potencial.
I'll look into it, thanks for the heads up!

yeah most likely. im sure if a top arc mage from 19s played 24s you would see what i am talking about

also, if the other team is smart they will make sure to kill the water elemental whenever they can

ok so arcane mages have these thigns called arcane charges. your damage increases for each charge you have, you can get up to 4. you mainly get them from arcane blast and arcane missiles, as well as 30% chance on arcane explosion hit, but thats a little irrelevant since its not nearly the best way to get charges in wsg. arcane blast and arcane missiles and arcane barrage's damage is increased by 50% for each charge.

frost mages get most of their burst from fingers of frost.

"The Fingers of Frost effect causes your next Ice Lance or Deep Freeze to act as if your target were frozen, and increases Ice Lance damage by 25% for 15 sec.

Limit 2 charges."

their water elemental's "Freeze" spell, is a 25 second cooldown that grants up to 2 fingers of frost, one for each target hit by the freeze, its basically an aoe frost nova that can be placed anywhere within i believe a 45 yard range of ur water elemental

u also have a 15% chance to get fingers of frost from casting frostbolt, but once again 15% is pretty low.

so for arcane, u have arcane blast, a 1.8-1.9 sec cast spell that is guaranteed to give an arcane charge. u also have arcane missiles again 1.8-1.9 seconds but it is channeled and u dont have to use it the full duration; u can use it for .1 seconds and still get a charge, so really u can get an arcane charge within one gcd, not sure on exact time of it but its around like 1 second i believe. its a proc, damaging spells have a chance to proc it and u can get up to 2 arcane missile 'procs'.

first off, arcane's max burst is more than frost's max burst.

basically, at the most u need 4 casts 8 seconds maximum to get all ur burst as arcane

for frost u are mostly relying on ur pets frost nova to get u fingers of frost, and it has a 25 second cooldown.

also know that if ur pet dies, obviously ur freeze cant be used and there is a 1 min CD on upon summoning ur water elemental or elemental de agua for my jaja friends.

so if ppl with a brain are on the other team, they WILL kill ur water elemental.

without water elemental, u wont be doing much.

hopefully u can see that one of the specs above requires a bit more skill but if u can manage ur arcane charges arcane is miles better.

if u need clarification anywhere let me know

you did perfectly explaining that to me. but my question now is. what is the best horde race in your opinion? and is crit better than haste? and do all specs have the same build for this bracket?
if you couldnt tell... im in the process in making a mage... lol
